Gbax 2005 Reactions & Reflections

I've only tried a few things...
Minigame project is excellent, great fun and will be very good for short 5 mins between classes at school...
Happy giant is pretty cool
Bang gp is pretty nice too..
The F-day preview is excellent! Currently dumping some carts.. ;)
Try some more stuff later...

Jaw:Dont bitch about no sram... you dont need it, there are save states and there isnt the save bug anymore! :p :)

I gave the missus the GP32 with sudoku on the smc when she got home from her meal, and I haven't seen it since.....guess testing all those GB/C roms will have to wait until tomorrow now :(

wow awesome

how can you say you were wishing for more emus and there are more than 3...

I think Craigix statement may have led some that there would be more. And I am sure some were wishing for the legendary SNES emu. It seems you can't convince these guys that there will probably not be anymore SNES emus.

"there are quite a lot of emulators for the GP32, its F'ing crazy ;)"

What was there is alot. Not what I would call "F'ing crazy" but certainly alot more than we had yesterday.

Has anyone seen this Warioland game showed at the first preview screenshots?
PS:Don´t miss trying my shooting game...(Got only one reply on that, so sorry for the advertisement style)

Allright, that "Wario Game" is either Wario Land 3 running on fGB32 or "Mario Balls" for GBA (GBAX 2k5 entry. your game Is quite good. The Indians just "run" too fast on a few ocassions.

hehe i was sad about sram too, since i played Zelda for a while and didnt do any savestates :( anyway, i can live with it, just have to think a bit more before i switch my gp32 off...

No SRAM.. I hadn't even realized. :(

I'm sure ryleh will add it by f-Day though. It says there are still lots to be added. :)

Or am I wrong...?

He doesn't want to add SRAM, as a lot of people didn't understand the difference between SRAM and Save State and always reported him, that games like Super Mario Land 1 didn't save even though they did SRAM save, etc.

I see. I hope he changes his mind, but I can live without it. It's a great emulator. :D

Just because people still want another SNES emulator doesn't mean they don't know there probably won't be one... I know there probably won't be one, but I still hope there will be, some day. Do you NOT want SNES emulation to be better than it is right now?

i just wan't to see bigger improvements in mame v1.2 and i'd be happy - let's hope franxis get's the faster core he craves!

I haven't looked at much, but the hex pistols demo is AWESOME. We seriously, seriously need more stuff like this. It reminds me of an old Amiga demo, but I forgot the name.

Course, theres only so much Franxis can do, since hes not writing a new emu like DrSMS is. MAME is a big bloated thing .. not really well optimized or low on RAM usage etc; the CPU cores can be swapped out, but the architecture is better designed for conveniance and for en-masse game support, not for running on tiny little platforms :)

The Fiture Crew presents: Hex Pistols
Originally for AGA/060 Amigas at Motorola Inside'05

it orginally was for the amiga

that's super bad news.
if the emulators will be relesed as opensource like he says, someone would put it back where it belongs quite quickly.
