Is it just me who can't be bothered with launchers? I've had my gp32 for a while now but I haven't yet had any need to install one.

Do most people on here use launchers or not?

Launchers? What are you talking about? How do you run your games/emus/apps on your gp32???
My gp32 boots up with a list of apps etc. Is that a Launcher? I thought that was just a standard part of the gp32. The Launchers I'm talking about are those I've seen on this page http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,7.

If you don't like the launcher, these are replacement launchers for use with replacement firmwares.
Cheers mate! I didn't realise that the program that runs at startup is itself a launcher.

Oh, but don´t even think about changing it, unless you have really much experience with your GP32. You sound like a noob, so you better leave it as it is.

Cheers for the advice. I'm happy with the one that came with my gp32 so i won't be changing it in a hurry, and anyway all the replacement launchers seem to do a lot more than i want

Sorry, i didn´t want to offend him. In some circles, the word "noob" is being used for people that are new to a scene and therefor lack experience, it is not (necessarily) meant to offend anyone. Is "newbie" better?

EDIT: And my age can be easily found out by opening my profile! All there!

SlubmanFW has a lot of advantages over the euro fw apart from the launcher; Phodrive and the explore mode, for example.

even if you are a "noob" you can flash it, no problemo (I recommend slubman's fw)
that's very true... I flashed mine to GPBios after I had only had my BLU for 3 days

EDIT: If you were to flash it though then I'd go with GPBios as it then makes it really easy to try out various other launchers and pick the best one for you. Also, if/when you flash make sure you have new batteries and everything will go fine :) ;)

I'd go with slubman's if you do it's my fav so far out of the ones I tried
only thing you need to make sure is you have fresh batteries or a good AC adapter as a steady source of power and make sure you let it finish flashing before you turn it off

After all it is risky. You see?
Probably he wants to have a lot of fun with his new toy instead of rishing to destroy it...
