I just started to code a similar utility like fade's copy tool...
But this one parses the gamelist.txt of MAMEGP32, so it doesn't need to be updated everytime a new version comes out.

It also creates a miss / have game list and only copies files which don't exist yet on the destination dir (you can also set the SMC as destination dir using a card reader or GPDrive).

I'm also in contact with Rlyeh, if he creates a similar gamelist.txt, my app will be able to use it once it comes out :)

And it saves the settings, so you only have to set your directories one time :)

Here's a first screenshot:

looks and sounds amazing!!! cant wait even more now that i know what it is!!!!

off topic: are you still on your vacation ed... hope your having a fantastic time...

Umm okay I'mnot totally up to speed on this so bare with me.

Your program copies supported game to a GPmame directory acording to the text file, right? If so, freakin awesome.. if not, Huh?

Exactly. This is what it does.

It isn't meant as a replacement for ClrMamePro, it doesn't fix roms or create new sets, you need to have a full 0.34 set in a directory.

I just copies over all the files which are supported by the emulator from your 0.34 source directory to your SMC (or whereever you want), so that you only have the needed files on your SMC.

And since it uses the textfile included in the MAMEGP-Archive, it's already compatible with future MAMEGP-versions :)

will it take only the full ones too??

like only take ones of the corret file size??

or would that be asking for too much right now?

That's too much. The first version only copies the zip files according to filenames and checks whether they are there or not.
Since there are hundreds of possibilities to have zip files with different sizes (depending on the zip tool you used, the compression setting, etc.), I can't simply do a size check.
I would have to check every rom in the zip file according to the checksum of the clrmame.dat file - and that's what clrmamepro already does.
