New Nestergpd 1.3

Looks good :
Version 1.3 of NesterGPd.
This version contains:
- More code optimization, more speed.
- Selection of conversion graphics of 8bits to true color 16bits.
- Option to erase ROMS from the same emulator (in phase beta).
- Exit bug fixed

Is nester bette than little john?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nester run more games, and 1.3 versión is faster (in 8 bits mode).
In GP32Spain people say that NesterGPd is the best Nes Emulator, but depends on each one.

Didn't someone say that there is no option to run it at 1:1 (no stretching)? I don't like stretching because it looks distorted and ripples when scrolling. There should be a way to use it without stretching.

I think that may have been me.

I must say though, I'm impressed by the HUGE improvement over ver. 1.2! I've been using my favorite NES game, Monopoly, to test it, and seems like the sound is much more accurate, and in 8-bit mode, the frame skip is less noticeable.

I tried Blaster Master, and noticed in 16-bit mode, the frame skip is VERY noticeable.

Great job, in all. Looking forward to the next update :)

It seems to me that:

The frameskips pretty bad either way (worse on 16bpp though, but standable on 8bpp)
It kind of sucks to only have it stretched
16bpp stretched looks awesome, but has bad frameskip
Sound is too fast (not enough space between "notes")

I think that if the sound is slowed down to its correct pace, the frameskip can be improved. Which would be great. I'm rooting for dMouse! :)

I guess it is best to stick with Little John then. I hate stretching, it is not needed for NES really, having it hardcoded on is a bad idea. The only thing I find it useful for is GB stuff.

I think he was about to give a on/off option for it. The video options page says:
Scaling

Press B to select

8bits 16bits
Notice the "Scaling".

Also, the sounds speed is just find in 16bpp, and some low-action games are nice in it, 'cus 16bpp interpolated streching looks cool. So I think the sound problem was just a mistake.

It also emulates certain things better than LJ, too. For example, Micro Machines has less graphical issues.

Visit the NesterGPd web site
Now includes an option to run it at 1:1

Holy shit. You know, this should actually be version. 1.4 !

What a difference; I tested it with Blaster Master. Noticeably LESS frameskip.

Great job!!

I tried it and it seems like the music is too fast and there is alot of frameskip even at 1:1. Little John still seems better to me. This is still cool though as there are some things that work with it that don't work on the other.
