Thanks All And Goodbye

Just wanted to say thank you to anyone that supported gp32exg.com and found it informational, but with my work schedule and trying to fix up my new home, I just don't have the time for it now.

Until my domain is completely gone there will be nothing but a white blob on the site. I don't have the skill or talent of Don and I have never received a single community review EVER so there's no point in me continuing on.

On another note, i now know how it feels to spend so much time on something to be told that its basically a waste of time and pointless. And I want to apologize now to any coders that I might have offended or hurt because of comments I made on pAiN or eXtremegamer regarding coding programs that might be deemed pointless or not needed, most of all the PS1 emu. For that I truely am sorry.

If anybody has posted links on their site to mine, please remove it for it won't be working soon.

Thanks again, it was a fun year and a half.

I don't think I ever even saw this site, gp32exg.com. Was it a homebrew review site?

Well, sorry to hear you closed up. But don't feel bad. What matters is that you tried to do something to contribute. I only found Don's site because I saw it in the news one day at emuholic.

I sent you a Fire and Fire review, and you didnt even bother to upload it.

it just said "heres a review from a memeber of the GP32X community"

And the review wasnt there!

i checked my old code for the fire and fire and your right, i did something wrong and it didn't take it. Sorry for that i should've checked it, and i forgot all about it, it was what 10 months ago. so I did get 1 review.

I'm really sorry to hear you're ending your site and that you think your contribution to the gp32 community has been for nothing, but I think you are being a little childish by blanking the homepage so people can't even read it. IMO, the reason people haven't been keen to help out is that it is very clearly your site and the 1 other review you got didn't even work! I don't mean to compare, but with Don's homebrew page, it shows who the reviewer is and gives them their own 2mm of fame and therefore makes us all feel part of it....

It's never easy pulling this sort of thing off, but as a fansite of your own making it has some worth in its own right so you shouldn't get pissed off so quickly and just block it. You should keep it open and if you find time to update and change it then it might get more traffic, so don't lose heart ;)

yes pAIN I read your site a lot(every review you had me thinks)

But I honestly didn't even know that you were accepting reviews by others
so all 2 of mine went to don's page.

hey pAIN, how about taking the big white image off your page so we can actually see the content and then maybe a few of us can make some reviews for some roms and homebrew for you...

I have a folder containing all of the site. If somebody wants, they
can host a zip of it, or a mirror.

Shouldn't you at least ask for permission before doing so?

Yeah, I don't see why you would put the white blob in the middle.

Yeah... but it's easy to remove, as he just put a white square in front of the whole page.

Just save the source of the site to your desktop, edit it with WordPad and remove a few lines from it (it's just before the end of the document).
I won't tell you the exact lines, as he intended it to be this way, but if you really WANT to see that site, it's REALLY easy to find out.

Now save this document and run it in your browser.
You can now browse the original site.

BTW: Maybe he updated his site with a new Taiwanese LCD and now has a big white line on the screen... well... more a square, but who knows ;))

if you want to look at it a bit easier... just turn off images in your browser setting before you go to his site... the white blob is just a little white gif he stretched over the whole site...

my domain name will be deleted completely within 24 to 48 hours, please do not link to my site and please take down links that were linked to my site.

Once again, thanks for the fun. C ya.

Mods, you can delete my account here for pAiN and extremegamer.

Well, I read your site and found the reviews interesting.

I really don't see the need to completely remove the whole site beause you didn't get much input from the community. I can understand that you'd become disheartened and maybe stop updating, but deleting the site altogether just seems a little rash.

You might not get much feedback but that doesn't mean people don't appreciate your work.
