Phytium-based ARM PC

Yes, you have to make sure your pointing at the right drive. Perhaps more advanced tools are better because they'll tell you how big the drive is before you overwrite it, but if you misclick then there seems to be just as much potetential for disaster.

Might be this is a Bluetooth Stick ^^
So I have to search for the Wlan Stick or I change the location of my Powerlan ^^

Yeah the shop page still hasn't been updated, and there's nothing on EDs or his shops twitter. But yeah, if you're looking for an RGB keyboard last time I looked a lot of keyboards with knock off chinese cherry MX clone keys came with RGB LEDs included.

RGB where nice to have, but a new keyboard whit keys who where a pleasure to use where allready good..
i asked on Twitter, but I don’t know if EvilDragon would want the answer be popular…

Dit a search on maybe Compatible WLAN Adapters, but ditnt found nothing: all of these had write that you have to load a Driver from the Internet, but I would need the Stick for Internet..
so I decided to stick whit my old Stuff, my Logitech Keyboard should be good enough, the Games are mostly from GOG and Steam, so the only worry where how to connect the Printer which is wlan.. but if it would work whit the Powerlan on this edge of the room , maybe it should work..

Sit : Was not that hard to set up, I have now LAN on my Desk , and the other stuff is allready there so I don’t need to buy stuff this year..
I was just a bit worried about the Powerlan Adapter Wall Plug Pass through: it said max 2300 Watt ,
I would have a 60 Watt Power Supply from the Phytian, the IQ Desk USB Power Supply, a Small LCD TV and the Inkjet Printer as well as a small Hi-Fi on this setup

Do you mean USB - Ethernet adapters? What about the ThinkPenguin one?

My first plan was to go just WLAN whit this thing, as it would require a compatible Stick and no change of my LAN Setup, but as the reviews on these sticks claim that they need some download stuff , I decided to change my LAN so it’s now reaching the Desk ..
Should work fine whit the included USB LAN Adapter who will come whit the Phytian

Ah sorry I misread your last post and was thinking of wired Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi

No problem, as long as I understand what my technical therms i use means ^^

My Farming Simulator I want to play is the 2013 Version, I will try if I get it to run ^^
I also found Beam NG Drive and My Summer Car on Steam, but first I want to make sure everything else is running bevor I buy newer games ..
On Farming Sim 2015 they started the Wood Cutting Stuff, I wonder how new the Farming Simulator could be to run on the Phytian via Wine..
Then I will decide on the Unimog Mod ^^

I did a search for 'linux RTL8188EUS 802.11n' and it got me here. That tells me that is should work on kernel v3.17 or later, which I think would catch Debian stable (but I've not checked that). On archlinux I'm currently running 5.15.6 but arch is a bit more up to date than debian is by design. I did find this stick a bit unstable and generally dropping off between about 4.17 and 5.14 but 5.15 seems to have improved that for me so far.

Well I try now Cable Network, I think this should be the faster , and easier solution;
And I hope this Chromium hack works also on Desktop ^^
Finally YouTube where you see something,
Unlike on this IPhone Mouse Cinema ^^

On Video Side I think i would make a series :
Unboxing and connecting to the Desktop Setup, how to flash the boot image via Pyra ,
Setup may take too long, maybe until I got it so it’s will install from USB
Setup Box86 , and Wine , a bit gameplay whit my older Stuff, and maybe Beam NG Drive running..

Im a bit unsure about my Summer Car, it’s a cool concept but would take too long..

Strange, the Computer is disapeared on the Dragonbox Shop Side, but on my Acount its still on Preeorder, so might be there is some movement..
Would be cool to get my Unit on Weekend around, as i dont have that much time on Evenings during the Week, i could set up the Hardware as this are just a few cables , but downloading the Image, screw around in BIOS, set up of the Partitions, this might take a while..
I will get some Holyday vacations end of this year, so quite some time to play around whit the Computer..

I assume the available window for preorders has closed.
I had one in my Cart I was going to checkout with today, but it now says:
  • This product (Phytium D2000 ARMv8 Mini PC (Preorder)) is no longer available.
I'm thinking we missed our shot.. One would assume it might be available from stock at some point though.

What would be the best Linux for this Thing for these Tasks:
- Office Work whit Libre Office
- Video Streaming (Youtube, Netflix, Prime, Disney)
- Musik Making via Guitar Adapter
- Gimp and Blender

- Windows Gaming over Steam and GOG
- Gamepads: Maybe the XBOX 360 PC Pad or the XBOX ONE Wireless Pad

please note that i dont have that much knowledge and it have to be a Linux others also use so they can help ^^

If you want a good one for gaming, you could start with what LTT are using - or even dualboot a couple of distros - and then just add the programs/packages you require if they don’t already come pre-installed?
