Psp looks great :D , but I think it will become a zodiac, no emu's only commercial games and stuff like that

I think tahts what it mainly is anyway...

Im not getting a DS mainly cos the games on Nintendos are mainly all "PG Certificate" type games.

I like games which have blood and guts in like Sony machines (PS1, PS2) :p

And im guessing GTA SA will be remade for the PSP as well :)

See, right... Right there. You just sounded very, very shallow, and feeble minded.
Nothing against you Steevo, but gamers like you, only have BLOOD, and SEX, and GORE on there mind. Games like Puyo Puyo Fever, Super Mario 64, Sonic 3, etc. Excellent games will never be enjoyed by todays new bred gamers, because all there going to be exposed to are the "awesome" and "cool" new games like Unreal 2010 with headshots, or GTA3 (no substance) because you can run over innocent people.
If a game soley depends on sex and violence to sell itself, it really is nothing but a mareket ploy, and an empty piece of software.

I will get the DS and PSP, but only after they drop dramaticaly in price, well PSP anyway. If GTA comes out on PSP though, I don't know if I could refuse.

Don't insult Steve O, he's simple. :p

I just don't know what to think about these handhelds really. Neither has impressed me with the games much. I'd give the edge to the psp though. It seems better suited to 2d fighters and such. I'll probably wait until they are both out for a while before I decide. Heck, I might even go for the GP32-2 if it compares even half as well to the DS and PSP as the GP32 did to the GBA.

Confuzzled be me.

It's not really shallow to say you like blood and guts in a game, it's just a person's preferance, Nintendo has said manytime it would rather do nonviolant games then violent ones and they've only recently weakened there stance on it. You probably wont see ans many GTA style games on nintendo hardware but that dosent mean you;ll never see one.

Secondly, Capcom's Resident Evil exclusivity ends after RE:4 on game cube because they havent been happy with the sales numbers, so there verywell may be a RE game for the PSP.

Third, and you can count on this, the PSP will NEVER be open source in any fashion and WILL be region protected as well. Sony has a well documented stance on creative rights and regionality and their preferance for proprietary hardware means you 'll never see a UMD writer unless it's built into a Sony Vaio computer or something and even then they'd limit what could be put on it.

Dont get me wrong, I still like them games...

I still love playing Super Mario 64, The NES Marios, the SNES Marios, Sonic, Racing Games etc etc

But the Highest ranking games in my opinion are Violent ones :p I would love to play on GTA SA on a hand held (Or other another GTA), If I get a DS I dont think it will get GTA for a long long time.

resident evil is alot better then any survival horror game sony has out and that is now nintendo exclusive.Ill proboly get on of these just cause its a cool handheld. And I like em all but, if this comes out any where from 2 to 4 months of the next GP32 I will definitly not be getting this.Im gettin the DS for metroid And the PsP would be nice for Tale of eternia but i would take my GamePark system over them any day.

I've actually converted to the Silent Hill Series. It's brilliant and scary as hell.(Even for a Macho Man like me).

The fact that the GT series lets you shoot people, drive cars, explore the city makes it a great game to play to kill time. Its not fair to say that gamers like him only have blood, sex and gore in there mind because its not always true. Fun is fun with substance or not.

Anyways, my money is on the PSP, I just love the games that Sony manages to get.

I mean no offense by this:

You guys are full of crap. You know you guys are gonnas get both, don't deny it by sounding innocent. I mean, I prefer PSP over DS, but I would still try to get the DS if I had the cash. And, it is all based on preference. Who the crap cares? A system is a system, you get what you want, both if possible. You want PSP, get PSP, the DS, get a DS.

Another thing I wonder. How the hell do you guys get all the cahs needed for your expensive systems? I sell everything i got to get the cash. I sold $200 worth of games to grt a new skateboard, and here you guys are getting $150 and $300 systems. DOn't tell me your parents are buying you them.

Just my saying, been keeping quiet for a while.

Some people actually have a job. Wait, don't condemn me as a heretic, I am serious! :p

Well... it looks nice, but.... the price really bugs me and the batery life too. I don't know if I'll get any of the new handhelds, just doesn't seem to be feasible anymore (I don't play much anymore) and I still have my beloved open-source GP32.... ;) Probably I won't get either one.

GTA is no BMX XXX.

Thank GOD for that!

As for the versus of the whole thing, as long as there are two potentially compeating systems there will always be 3 camps: 2 on either side of the issue because they dont see themselves having the time or money for both and one who'll just get both anyway. The people on either side of the issue will continue to fight about it to justify the time and money they pump into their choice and hopefully convince others they;re right.

As for how I get both, it's all about birthdays, xmas, and living in New York... (too expensive to get your own apartment so you might as well live at home and use the extra cash for your hobbies.)

All code must be *digitally signed* to run on the PSP. I don't know why but people seem to think that if they can get code into the system, like through the Magic gate for example, that it will just run happily. WRONG!! This is the same for the PS2 and Xbox. Those need hardware mods to run un-encrypted code. The mods are in the form of big chips and daughterboards that plug and/or solder into the system. The same would be needed for the PSP, but how would you fit a big mod chip into that tiny space restricted case of the PSP? Good luck, and don't count on it.

PSP for me. If a flash cart comes out for the DS I'll get one otherwise fuck playing N64 ports or "reimagined" N64 games. GP32 2 and PSP are on top on my wish list.

I will probably get a DS just because it comes out much sooner than the PSP. When the PSP comes out I will get that too. The one I really want the most is the PSP. Too bad it has been pushed back to next year :(

The PSP just looks so cool and "sexy" compared to the DS. The DS looks like a kid's toy. I am also not sure about that whole stylus bit. How will that work in a game? You hold the unit and use the pad to play. Then you need to use the touch screen so you pause the game pick up the stylus and do that. then put the stylus away and play with the pad , back and forth. Just seems kind of hoaky to me.

well, i dint think that i have the money for any of them, but when i would getone at the moment i would get the psp, the disgn is so nice, and they make quality 2d games, and the big screen is also a big argument.

ds for me and psp maybe pending on the price and if it offers anything beyond raw power... :)

Also, you have to remember the quality / graphics would be much better in real life. Thats just a video thats been compressed etc so the real thing would be much better in my opinion :D...

Im just gonna Buy a PSP (Whn it drops in price)... Until then , my GP32 will do :D :D
