Unlimited Sub Forums <not used on this board as far as i know
Well, I just listed the new features from the Invision Power Board Page ;)
Relative Dates <what exactly does that mean?

Not sure, I think it means that the posting time / date is relative to your time.
e.g. you know what time someone posted something in YOUR timezone.

Threaded mode view <not sure what that means
Linear plus mode view <dito

Go at the top of this page. To the top right, you can see "Outline" "Standard" and "Linear".
Threaded Mode = Outline.
Standard = The way you used to read the forum.
Linear = Regardless which page you are at, you see the first post (usually the question) of this thread at the top.

Now press "Outline":
You'll see a threaded view... much like a newsreader, for example.
I still like linear view best, but the threaded view is useful if you're looking
for a particular answer.

To change back, press "Standard" or "Linear" again.

Ability to perform mod actions when starting polls <???

Hmm... don't know either.
But I just saw that you can Add Polls to an already started topic :)

And: You can archive your PM box.
You get an Excel or HTML file sent via eMail with all the messages you want,
so you won't have to delete all messages when your PM Box is full, you can
keep them at home :)

[ACP] Rewritten templating system
[ACP] Mail queue to allow bulk mail to be sent
[ACP] Ability to have members in multiple groups
[ACP] Task Manager to automate processes

allright didn´t understand the last four points,

Well, these are for admins. :)

but the board system seems to be really improved! If just the design wouldn´t be so bad.....

It's not THAT bad... it's just we're not used to it, yet.
Also, I don't think hando is finished now :)
The GP smiley is still missing. He just updated everything, worked till sometime at night to reopen it as soon as possible :)

Viewing this on a a machine with 120mhz and 32mb ram. Breaks down... cant wait to see what it looks like on a good machine. Goes back to swapping hard drives between the two machines and getting the shite one to recognise my slave... I keep it in a cage.

Did you try the "Lo-Fi" version?

The new look isn't a bad look (When I first saw this look on the VJ Army boards I thought it was pretty cool), it's just kind of hard to let go of the previous look (Just like it was with letting go with the look before that one).

Improved Mozilla posting editor <I cpuld post with Mozilla on the old board, too
Relative dates are like, instead of saying '25 August 2004' it says 'Yesterday' (or 'Today', or 'Last Month' maybe). I love this. Humans understand relative things much more easily than absolute. I can say '16:56' or I can say '4 minutes ago'. Relative dates are the latter.

As for Mozilla. If you selected text then clicked the Bold button, it just shoved a pair of bold tags at the end of your whole post! Not fun. It was OK if you were about to type something but generally bad. Now you can select stuff and make it bold with one click. You can also properly use Alt+B, +I, +U, and probably some others like you would use Ctrl+B/I/U in a regular application - it opens and closes the tags for you.

I'm happy :)

I like the old theme, but this has alot more features. I'm sure hando will change the theme to go with the rest of the site.

Might I suggest the Lo-Fi version (new in version 2.0 :) ) which is a hell of a lot simpler HTML-wise. You have to go Hi-Fi to post, but you can read the whole forum in Lo-Fi mode.

Hmm...for my inbox, it says "Inbox (24)," that's how many PM's I have in my inbox, but before it only displayed how many unread PM's I had in the "()" instead of a total of all the PMs. Anybody else notice this?

I presume at some point the front page will change to suit the new look?

I like the new look apart from the fact the icons don't seem relevant.
I need all of those old letter icons back, ot maybe use the icons on this site as they are awesome: I think you will agree the icons on this site are quality.

Otherwise I can't tell what post I have read.

:D

i don't think this skin is the final skin, i think this is just temporary

Has the "Quick Reply" function been disabled?

imo it is a great feature and should definitely be enabled on these boards.

I also dont think the colour scheme really goes with the rest of the site. It makes the boards feel seperated from the site.

Other than that I prefer the functionality of these boards.

i much prefer this board to the last one. hopefully the rest of the site will be changed to fit in with the boards instead of the other way round since this theme is a lot less blaaahhh

No it fucking wouldn't. If hando adds a shop I will buy it out then burn the contents. If he adds an RPG I'll crack the database, make a lv 300 character and piss on everyone else. Then kill you.
