Anyone know of any RPG's for the GP32?

Something along the lines of say Final Fantasy or Suikoden.

Off to Australia soon and although i've transferred ScummVM plus games and i'm wanting a bit more variety. (other than adventure games and Doom)

I suppose I could run Final Fantasy in a NES emulator but i'm wanting something that takes advantage of the GP32's abilities.

I'm hoping more along the lines of an RPG created for the GP32 rather than emulating one under an emulator.

I'm quite happy to buy one online, it's just I don't know of any for the GP32. :(

Just get opensnes9x from here and get some snes rpg's for it.
otherwise try gbc roms.
some great snes rpgs are; Terranigma, Final Fantasy V/VI, Illusion of Giai/Time, Chrono Trigger and alot more. They run very close to full speed if you clock the emu up to 156. It surports zipped roms aswell. :D :D

Or make your own... still, definitely try Phantasy Star 4 and 2 on fGen - they *feel* as though they're made for the GP32 whether they are or not, and they work with sound. What more could you ask for?

Well, english translations of Mill and Astonisha Story R, but unfortunately, its unlikely to happen. Pity that...

Offtopic: Do the Phantasy Star games continue on from each other? Or is it a final fantasy kind of thing?

finty:

They are chronological. PS 1, 2 and 4 follow a single line of plot but each one is about 1,000 years apart (iirc). PS 3 is a seperate but related story, not really required.

Having only played PS 4 I enjoyed it tons, despite not knowing the backstory. PS 1 and possibly 2 on the other hand are regarded as fairly average RPGs.

xboxit:

I'd add to your list Secret of Mana 1/2 and Earthbound.
