okay,m i have a new 128meg card and i cant format that one either :( is there anyway to install movie park other than with pc-link? please help:( oh and i've tryed to format it on another computer too:(

Did you try with a smart media reader/writer? This is what i bought to be use with my GP32 (still on my buying list) from Lik-Sang. I know i have made use it to read some of my CF and also a 16mb Smart Media and 64mb MMC card. Just had trouble at first to get the device recognize properly with win98SE.

yes, but i cant install zpk files onto a smc with a reader :( i had to extract the free launcher with gpex, but i cant get it to run :( i get an smc error :( i want my gp32 to work so bad :( i dont want a $200 mp3 player with a front light i want a handheld c64!!!

Did you try a diffrent SMC?? Are you sure that you re-registered it (I think that this is your second, sorry if I am wrong)?? Other than that I don't know

There is a .fpk/.zpk extractor at Darth Fader's site, you exctract then copy all the files to the right place.

I've used that to "install" the free launcher, but when i run it it loads then it flashed an error, it says SMC the a bunch of keorean. :( Is my unid defective? How is play-asia's return/replace? I've even checked with the diognostic mode, and it sees the smc card, i just cant format it :(

heres a picture of the error i get

would it be possable to unfxe the firmware flashing software and use pclink to send it to my gp32 and run it as an afx file, then flash my firmware that way? Because if i can get my firmware flashed i dont care if pc-link works, and i dont need to format my smcs!

EDIT: i tryed it and pc-link crashes before my gp32 does anything :(

could my problem be something as simple as like amybe i dont have all the needed directorys on my smc? could someone please list them? ;) sorry, i feel like a dork, but i've tryed everthing but voodoo to fix this :(

from memory, you should have GAME, GPETC, GPSYS, GPMM, MP3 ... gpsys/etc not needed at the moment. However if you clicked 'Format' from inside PC-Link (on the PC) it should have set up those dirs.

i used GPETC for images and movies. Your problem might be bad files, some people have had problems with corrupted downloads off the website

thats my whole problem, i get a "process error" when i try to format BOTH of my 128 smc s...

I dont think thats it, ive tryed every verson of pc-link i could find, and I've downloaded the free loader 3 times. :(

Shrike - doesn't matter much but I believe GPETC is for configuration, after the 'etc' directory on linux filesystems,

But there isn't anything to tell the GP32 to launch a GXB file, even though it doden't need a FXE extractor.

could windups be converted to a gxe file, so i dont need the free launcher to work? Then i could flash my firmware, right?
If you flashed the wonderful MultiFW, you don't need to convert anything, since it includes the WindUPS executable

yes, but i cant get into free launcher to load the firmware flasher, but if it was a gxe the GP32 can load it without the free launcher.

I could just go to "GAME" on the firmware...i dont know what elts to call it...you know where the mp3 player, and pc-link are.
