Just got my first playthrough uploaded, not to youtube, the trans-code got to 95%, and THEN said it was too long to upload. It is 56 minutes so I just uploaded it to Dtube and am currently uploading it to bitchute and after that I'll upload to bit.tube. I'll post the links as I get them. If you watch them let me know if the audio levels are good.

I'm going to finish this game and I don't know if I'll do any others, I'm just basically doing this for video editing practice/to keep my channel alive. I might cut it in half for youtube or not, not sure yet. Already getting views on Dtube, no comments though :(

Ch. 1 Part 1:

Part 3: (End of Ch. 1 Part of Ch. 2)

bit.tube: https://bit.tube/play?hash=QmczgRvBw4fPd3WvSuGToMi7HiyUZ9CAsR3FsCqfn3nmFu&channel=188213

Part 4: (end of Ch. 2)

NOTE ON PART 4: I made this video after reading a email from youtube, I was confused and thought it stated I could be monetized but it said I was getting close and was pushing me to get better. So in the video I state I'm monetized on youtube but I'm wrong. However, Dtube is a block chain so I can't take it down. Oh well, just keep that in mind while watching it.

56 mins is too long for upload?
Yeah, I know I uploaded a bike ride that was over an hour unedited when I first started using youtube but now it says this video is too long. I remember they took the custom thumbnail away from me, they changed it from anyone can do it to only people with so many subscribers can do it to back to everyone again. The time limit might be the same sort of deal. I'll try uploading it in a few days. I'm recording part 2 tonight so it will go up on both Dtube and bit.tube. I can't get get bitchute to work at all, it uploads but after it gets to 100% it never appears in the window. So for now just Dtube and bit.tube.

Have you uploaded much to YouTube before? I don't know what the rules are these days, but early on you could only upload 10/20 minute videos, and once you posted enough, they granted you "unlimited length" videos.
I think you can get that option buy "verifying" your account these days too, but that involves you giving them your phone number

Hmm, I have over 50 videos but I only have 30 subscribers and not many views per video. I think once I finish the game I'll break them all up, upload them, and schedule them for twice a week. That will actually help me, it helps to upload regularly on youtube. Can everyone here see them on bit.tube and Dtube?

I watched the d.tube and it was my first time there. The video quality is awesome. I liked the video cutting, not sure if I saw cuts (did you make them during map teleporting, when the screen goes to black?) with a background music overlayed on a gameplay without background music? Or was it 1 go?
Voice volume perfect. You have those screamer-tubers, where you need to lower the volume a bit. But your soft voice makes it enjoyable to listening it a bit louder and enjoy the background music.
A little more enthusiasm while reading would be nice. Especially at the beginning, you need to capture your audience to stick around. Those first minutes are important, after that, I stay because I am discovering together with you (either sunken cost or genuine interest).
And some at places diction was mumbled. (yes, I know, those things mean lots more edit hours)
In the audio I did not like the comments like 'need to drink water' or that you said "I dont remember" (just after freeing the monkeys from the cage)... I was immersed in the "first time" - lets explore together - and those comments kill it.
What you could have done is spice it up, make it funny: "ooh, a boat and water, that makes me thirsty... I'm gonna drink each time I see <item>" and then drink. Or do not comment, just drink.
And then "hmm... where it it? I don't know" turns it from "he is lazy and does not remember, and does not want to re-record"... to "wow, this puzzle is hard, look at him struggle".

No, no real cutting just the speed up for the tedious parts. I did cut a LOT of 'ums' out of the audio though.

This is what I was worried about the most, on part 2 I think my voice is a little too harsh.

Yeah, I know I need to work on my commentary. I think the second part was better, on the first part I didn't know I was murmuring until I did the edit. It is something that I hope will come with time. I notice that on other people I watch play through, their first videos aren't that good but they get better over time.

I'm too used to twitch now, people talk about their normal lives, I need to remember this is a play through and not live.

I was also able to download the video fully last night. My way of playing videos on the old hardware I run probably doesn't contribute to an actual view at your end, so I'm kind of posting here to let you know I did.

I want to play this game myself now. Once I get a Pyra and someone ports a decent SNES emu to it, I'll be sure to check it out.

Yeah, the game is a great game, the graphics and goofy story line are my favorite part. The puzzles are not designed the best as far as controls(look at robots on my part 2. . .) but you keep going for the story and graphics. I think if Nintendo did do an official translation and maybe changed a few of the controls I bet this would sell well on the switch. Heck, all the games that come out look retro anyway, this would fit in.

Why did you download it? Do you mean just watched it? Dtube and bit.tube don't have ads. Bitchute got back to me, tomorrow night I'm going to try uploading there again.

Because I generally need to be able to transcode video to lower resolution for playback on my netbook. HTML5 video generally lags and stalls for me, but at least unlike flash video, I can get a video file out of the backend and download it.

Ohhh, I understand now. I had to do this on my old tablet as well.

Watched the second video now. I can't say I noticed much difference in the audio, if I'm honest; it sounded perfectly intelligible to me both times. My only real criticism is the number of times you misread a message first time, although it's probably pertinent that when I'm reading them in my head from the screen, I don't also have to work my mouth, so as I viewer I have the advantage, plus it's kind of cute when you mess up, so no criticism in the end there.

Hmm, I thought the audio levels would be different. Lol, yeah, I misread a lot, I need to get better at it. This isn't really made to get a million views, just help me to making videos and get more comfortable. I'll do better as time goes on I hope. Thanks for watching though!

Oh, and I got a e-mail from youtube about being monetized. I misread it and thought I could be monetized but it turns out I'm close, I think they're pushing me to take my channel more serious. I'm in a limbo state between the person that uploads a few cat videos to a person that uploads weekly. I'm going to be posting Saturdays and Wednesday to youtube just to keep up an appearance. I'll have a back log of this playthough I'll mix with other videos. Oh, and I can post longer videos now.

I got the first installment up on youtube and the volume is really low. I didn't notice that on Dtube or bit.tube. I guess those two sites equalize the volume of videos and youtube doesn't? I'll need to increase the volume I think. Everyone I sub to has a lot louder videos.

EDIT: So I looked up how to increase volume in Audacity and found out how to improve my voice in Audacity and I have to say I can make myself sound a lot better. Yeah, these are teaching me new things, if you want to learn something you pretty much need to just do it. . .
