I can get games to run fine and its a great emu but when i try to save a game nothing happens.. When i go save and then go back to main menu there is nothing there just the roms i had before. I got a long flight (London to Florida) 2moz so i would be v. grateful for any help! Cheers

*I go into the 'paused menu' with the frameskip options.. 'click' save (write SRAM).. the screen flashes.. I then 'click' go back to the main menu w/save (as its the only other real option i have)

then at the main menu there is nothing there.. Just the roms i had before.

im not sure what yo umean but when you want to load you need t ohave started the rom that the saved game is from if you know what i mean

isn't open snes a much better emulator for snes these days?

Anyway this emulator does not have save states which allow you to save where ever you want. It will allow you to save a game at a save point like a real snes and thats it. To get it to work you need to get to a point in the game where it will ask you if you want to save your game answer yes. Then in the emulator go to the menu and choose write save state or whatever the option is. This does not create a new rom or add anything to the list of roms that you have it will just allow you to save your game. From there load the rom you where playing and then choose the game you saved from the menu in the game just like you wold onb a real snes.

If your game uses SRAM it'll save the SRAM so that you can continue your game ala a real SNES (like on Super Mario World when you start it has those three files with numbers) snes9x doesn't have save states but OSNES9x does... you chose

sorry massive mistake there i am using opensnes9xgp :blushes:

Right same thing as before i go into the menu while in a game by pressing start and select together. Click write sram..

how do i load a game? there seems to be no option to do so. Sorry about this and thanks for the help

Erm... in OpenSnes9xGP, there is no option to save SRAM, only savestates. You click Load/Save from the menu and choose a slot, then click Save State. Then to load it you do the same thing, select the same slot and click Load State.

1. Load your rom normally.

2. When you want to save bring up the menu (start and select or hold select depending on what you've got selected).

3. Go to save/load.

4.There will be numbers listed in the menu, nine I think. Each of these numbers represents a save 'slot'

5. Pick a save slot and save. THe screen will say zipping (at the bottom). This is now complete.

6. DO what you want now, turn off GP32, whatever.

7. When you want to load game (from the slot you saved). First load the rom normally like you did in step one.

8.Once it's loaded, bring up the menu and select save/load.

9. Go to the slot you saved and then move down and click load state.

10. Enjoy.

There is SRAm support just say the game as you normally would goto the menu with select and click Goto Rom Broser and in the corner it says "SRAM will be saved"
