I turned my gp32 flu on today and the backlight will not turn on but everything else works fine. what could the problem be.
yes and I have replaced the batteries.

im not exactly sure whats wrong with it. i had the same problem, but last night i tried it and it worked. Im guessing it was because i accidentally dropped it earlier in the day.

You could try dropping it from a foot or two onto some carpet. it worked for me! :D

It slowly turned back on and now it works. would gpscumm have done it because it was the last program I used before it turned off and it was the first time i have used gpscumm.

prolly quite simple prob, the connection of flu's are alittle bit iffy to say the least if it ever goes again i suggest taking the back off and check that switch.

Basically you have to use new batteries and if the light doesn't turn on leave the GP32 on for a while with fresh batteries (the FLU on)...

that used to work for me when i had this problem otherwise use the search as this has been talked about before.

It's a well known (and odd) problem with some FLU's.

It was not ScummVM I can assure you ;).

I had the exact same problem with my FLU and tried the new battery trick but it didnt work so in the end I sent it back to the place I bought it (it was only a couple of months old) and they replaced it with a BLU!!!

it's happened to me too! (FLU would go off, but eventually come back on again) and now it's dead :( And I have no repair resources, no materials, and no links or anything.... Damn :(
