i'm having problems trying to get the F? keys to work in fMSX. I know you're suppose to use key combos with the L button, but i can't seem to get it down...

and it has also been crashing weird on me. Every so often, after playing for a while the screen garbles then what looks like the screen centering goes off kilter. Like the screen is cut into four then the pieces are mixed up, kinda hard to play this way...i think it's due to the machine running on 133mhz for too long. Anyway to underclock fMSX?

...so, umm, little help please................thanx

For the F? keys, it isn't the L button but Select. Use the L and R buttons to cycle through some options during games. Among them is a virtual keyboard, snapshots, not sure what else. The Save States don't work yet I believe. When you have the option you want selected (in this case, Virtual Keyboard) you then hit the Select Button to activate it. For the Virtual Keyboard, hold down Select and press up, down, left or right... that will give you F1-F4.

I have that crash on fMSX occasionally (sometimes quickly, sometimes I play for a long time, who knows) and occasionally on another emu or two, I think Frodo does it once in a great while. Can't help you there, sorry!

no, no, no, don't get me wrong, i really do like fMSX. you really do great work ryleh, and i can't wait to see your other emulators.

i just didn't understand how the F keys worked in the emu, which it now makes sense to me, use the L & R keys to select functions, then use select to ...um select the function. really nice

just one more question....how do i use F5?

F1 through F4 are the d-pad and when i try using B or A nothing happens...

thanx again
