Gp32blu Firmware Dumped

I loaded the FXE file on my FLU but when I attempt to access PC-Link I am told SMC card not found - strange really - obviously I am loading the FXE file from the SMC. Did anyone else experience this?

If it weren't for that I'd have a shot a flashing this puppy. Anyone else been game to flash a FLU or non-FLU?

How was your SMC card formatted? I know some programs have trouble reading cards formatted in a particular way (i.e. some don't like the Pacrom method of not creating all the dirs, some don't like the PC-Link method, though that's rare, since its the official one. More commonly, programs don't like cards formatted in Windows via a reader.) So Possibly that's the problem you're running into...

No idea...

Appreciate the thoughts.

Formatted with PC-Link

My usual gp32 fw reads the smc no probs....

Strange...

I do like the look of the new firmware though, fast, impressive, useful. All it should be.

No MP3 player, but I'm sure that won't be a problem to source, yogg's a good alternative.

GPCinema does not work(locks up) on my GP32's usual fw, however it runs like a gem under this new fw - does that look like a clue to any of you gurus?

Isn't that odd, I can open files off the SMC, such as GPCinema, but PC-Link complains.... *sigh* ...fun.

it's a normal bug, it's the same in my multifirmware, it come from an incompatibility in the bios, if you flash your gp with this firmware, the pclink will certainly work without problems... (if you flash your gp with the blu's firmware, dark fader's pclink wont work anymore because of the same problem.)

Any chance of you sticking PhoDrive, YAFL, Pac Rom and this new Euro FW any time soon Aquafish?
my hard drive broke :( and i've lost my sources, i'm currently rewriting my firmware from the start, but be ssure that as soon as i'll have finish i'll make a version with those firmwares... (if its possible...)

Naaah, not really.
I can't code and the last time I compiled something was three years ago in a Linux test...
But I also had a few harddrive crashs and lost important data - and this reminded me of Linus Torvalds who once said no one needs backup if you have a peer-to-peer sharing network... ;)

Code is tiny, you can easily make back-ups on floppies. If not, buy one of those FLASH memory USB thingies for like $30 (I have a watch with 32MB of Flash Memory). Maybe we should all pitch in and make sure all the developers have this, because I remember ThunderZ having a similiar problem. Of course maybe they all already have this stuff, and they're just absent-minded :D

Personally I have my own web server which I use to back-up to periodically, and I keep all my most important files on my watch...which I can't find at the moment <_<
