Have to write on this...!

It really does seem that when there are no new releases and some one asks for something.. people start to get angry..!

Just like many people have said, if a newbie or anyone else pisses you off, just use common sense and dont reply. This will stop the plethora of posts on a silly subject.

Yep GP32 scene is getting a bit unfriendly... compare it to a year or two ago....

If some guy/girl/idiot asks for an emu.. just ignore them, or rather give a positive response / constructive criticism.. rather than bash them and start some flaming.

As for GP Engine.. i thik its the best of the Emus around simply becasue it appears 100% complete with sound etc.... But what i would like is SAVES.. as i dont play games for a long time.

I know lots of people would like saves as well, and just becasue someone asks for it or other features does not mean ppl have to respond with...

" Oi.. shit head, emu coders do it for free... so be happy with what you got and shut the fu$% up"

No need for that sort of rubbish. Better not to reply or give a contructive comment than start ayet another flame war.

Naturally with alot of activity on the board, ppl will ask about GP engine and other emus and the coders who have not put any new work out in the public domain.. but thats human nature. If you dont ask, enquire etc... you will never get or strive forward.. sure it'll piss someone off..! I too wonder if Black is alive etc... but wehter he give out his code or not is his decision.

As for GP Engie 0.5.. no i dont have it.. and nor do i want it. The first release if good enough.. and i wait for save states to be implemented if ever.

Any thants my two cents.. feel free to post/ flame/ shout... etc.. better still if the mods just close it so that the point of this message will get through rather than the diverse rambling that this may probably generate.

i agree 100%

people will ask for emus / betas / release dates but turning every thread into a flame war is st00pid.

this board has become agressive. much more so than when i first came here (this isnt the 1st time i registered). Only the admin themselves seem to be sensible these days !

Authors work on emus for fun, or to teach themselves etc and I applaud them for that.

If GPengine is never updated, I will still never complain about it.

If gigadrive/fgen are never updated i will never complain about them.

I feel lucky for what we have got.

thanks for making this post. you said it as i was thinking it.

I think that the answers are aggressive only because many people often ask for new versions. Some months ago it wasn't there. It feels like some people are starving for updates these days, and worse, it make feel like authors must update. I don't like that.
I think flameseeders are more to blame than flamers. There perhaps should be more moderation, closed/deleted topics. That's a shame but that's necessary.

jep damaki is right

but i think you shouldnt do thinks like creating a new topc to the same thing when the old topic gets closed.

Everybody has asked a stupid question at some point or another, ripping into them isn't the way to go. I agree that people shouldn't hassle developers for releases but surely askign if anybody has any news on emus shouldn't mean they get ripped into ?
Maybe pointing somebody in the direction of a sticky or an existing thread would be better.
I think everybody can get a bit pissed off with people asking the same questions over and over again, but I think it's just part of life and we have to get over it.

Anyway a big thanks to everbody out there who has put some much time and effort into programming / coding for ther GP32 and all the people who post news, host files etc.

Note to new users - before you post use the Search facility, theres a lot of info on here if you look. If you can't find what your looking for then post a question

Anyway that's my quids worth..........

I DO have GPengine 0.5, and the only difference is the RF link multiplayer support. Now that probably affects about 0.1% of all GP32 owners, so quit worrying about it.

I'm sure Black will eventually come up with something, but if not, then we've still got a great emu.

Closing this thread.
