Hey man, that looks really sweet but I'm at school. How much music is there in the game?
There is a background music loop, that can be turned off and a bunch of other sound effects and speech samples.

Nice! What's you and Akuma's next game? I really like your graphics! They look profesionnal! You should help the guy make new tiles/sprites for his remake of lode runner!
Are we supposed to know that's what it is yet? If not, I'll forget I read it lol...

Nice choice of next game, though :)

Oh, of course; I remember reading about that. Yeah, good idea :). Manu does really good gfx; all Akuma's games using them look so darn professional (and the ones prior to them are pretty dard good too :))

He didn't do the gfx for the very first ver of GPSquares, and I *think* not for the first ver of Perfectfit, though I'm much less sure about that one. The second ones of both certainly looked a *lot* nicer, though.

Well, it's great that we get a lot of GREEEEEEEEAT puzzle games for the GP32 :)
A handheld needs them, so that you can't only play when you've got lots of time, but also when you just want to play a couple of minutes :)

Thanks a lot to you guys creating them :)

Just a few more suggestions: A Magical Drop clone, A Puzzle Bobble Clone, a Dr. Mario Clone, a PuyoPuyo Clone (and please don't tell me to use emulators... all puzzle games created for the GP32 were way better :))

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaank you! :)

PerfectFit and GPSquares were designed before I met Manu. He saw the release of PerfectFit and messaged me about creating nice graphics for it. We started there, and then went to remake GPSquares, and create our first project together, Electronia, and now have a couple games on our plate (busy bees we are!) trying to bring more joy to the GP32.

I think puzzle games are a handhelds best friend. Any game that you can pick up, play for a couple minutes and then put down, or play for hours if you choose, fits perfect on a handheld. Most action games dont allow for this, not only because most dont really have save function, but even the ones that do, you really cant get into an action game, or RPG, etc... for 10 minutes. Puzzle games fit like a glove. Not to mention most have really high replay values.

Awesome! I want to check this one out ASAP.

It looks like a game that I stumbled upon on my MAME machine. I wish I remembered what it was called, but it was the same basic idea, but instead of electricity, it used water pipes. The main difference that I see (without playing your game) is that you didn't have to connect the left side to the right side. With the pipes game, you could make a simple loop from one side to the next piece down on the same side.

Well, that game was a great puzzle game, and if this is anything like that, it's a huge addition to the GP32 scene.

Keep up the great work.

Yeah this game looks amazingly good.

You should have entered in the GBAx comp or the Tomak one as you would have stood a very good chance IMO.

Shame about the lack of high score saves thats the only downside.

I plan to have a score sheet, recording the most lights you have turned on, your highest score, highest level achived, longest chain, biggest score combo, etc... as an enhancement later.

As for the compo's, I dont like the game tomak, and really dont want any JoyGP games, the only commercial GP32 games I want are the RPGs (I have my GP32 for homebrew and emulation). Not to mention that I dont like competitions, and with there being a programer, an artist, and an audio developer, its kinda hard to split prizes fairly.

Plus I dont do competitions because I like to show people that they still get good games throughout the year regardless of competitions.

If this is the game I think it is I can't wait to play it on my GP!!!

How about a port of one of the word games out there?

Bookworm, TextTwist, etc...

This is a completely custom game, not a remake of any game, although the inital concept of the game was taken from the PC game Rocketmania. It is very very different, as you will see when you download it. :)
