wow!
it takes forever to put in some coordinates for the hotspots
I have made 3 shops, both 2 stories and it took FOREVER to make all 6 rooms
I am asking if you , pirotic obviously, would put a scrolling feature if you hold down the left/right button
it takes way to long to go click click click for coordinates like 256x647
please, and also, pimp quest wont exist for the moment, but I hope to make a diablo game....
o ya, I am using gigas at this moment trying to finish up those 3 stores....

edit

damn, lost batteries while I was scrolling, made it to 350 ish
damn
well, that shows how much we need this

for any values that can be pretty big, i've enabled the L and R buttons to jump 15 at a time, it helps a great deal :D maybe i forgot to mention it in the readme.

i'm changing it for the next release, so left and right changes values by 1, where as L and R scroll thru them quickly - that way you have the best of both worlds.

Could you put an option so you can just select the square as if your laying down a tile?

that was my original idea, but what if you want the hotspot to teleport you to a new map?

what im going to add is a feature called "flags" - basically you can make the editor remember cords on any map, and name them.. so like, i make a door and know that im going to want to teleport to there at some point, so i place a flag and called it "door", then when i create a hotspot on another map, it'll give me a choice of selecting either cords, or selecting a flag, at which point it'll enter the cords for me..

:p what u recon?

its a bit rubbish how it is atm, as i have to write down the co-ords on paper, then change the map etc.. lol

How about R and L to switch between maps?

Im not a coder, so i dont know if its possible, so bear with me

u know what, thats a bloody good idea :D

will require a little recoding, as the hotspot will be saved on the map it was created on (not always the map which is loaded if you can browse).. but i'll add that in now and let you know how it goes.

cheers !

done it, but it needs some serious bug testing which i'll get onto now.

after you put the hotspot down, it asks you to select where you want the teleport to goto, you can change map with L and R, and press A to select a place. pressing B will skip that stage.

then it asks you what tile you want to change if its in the switch mode, you can't change map but either A to select a tile, or B to skip that stage.

:p alot better, thanks for the idea

like that thought ^^

thanks for putting all this work in it :)

hotspots are now much better :D tested it and it all seems to work fine! and doesn't require you writing down any cords or scrolling for hours thru the settings which is a big improvement.

switchs allow you to dynamically change the map,

in otherwords, you can say "when this hotspot is activated, change the the tile at these cords to this tile instead"

so you can make a door open, or make an obstruction disappear giving you access to new parts of the map.

in the demo map, you'll see two push buttons above the second house, step on them and they change to squished buttons.. thats using switchs.
