Hi Guys,
It looks like I will be getting a Gp2x, seems an interesting piece of hardware to programme.
Just been looking at the magic eyes doc, on the video post processor, still letting stuff sink in... So forgive me if this idea will not work, but I need to ask.
Do you think it's possible to use video post processor to combine single line spans. If so, then you could scan convert polygons, dump the texture span part into memory, dump the colour span part into memory, then let the hardware combine the spans together, as this would be quicker in hardware. Also if you could get access to what's in the frame buffer, you could alpha blend the combined spans to the background. Is this possible? Or have I misread stuff...
If it is possible, you could use the second core as a gpu, for T&L and scan conversion in software, while letting the hardware combine the spans.
