Unusual Gp32 Flyer On Ebay

Those are prototypes of the GP32. GP was commissioned by the South Korean government to make a game console (I think there was some kind of embargo they were dealing with), and they went different directions with their prototypes, but after the GBA was announced, they settled on the final design (coincidence?, I think not).

They had a deal with some mobile phone company, there was going to be a mobile gaming network and internet (only in Korea), but the deal fell through. The RF unit 4 player wireless gaming dongle thing probably sprung out of this idea. Before they made the GP32, GamePark made toys and cheap digital cameras and military equipment. The GP32 didn't sell too well in South Korea, but we picked it up and the rest is history.

Later, before the release of the BLU, they were making a deal with Mitsui and were going to produce the BLU in various colors, even with translucent cases. They had planned on better distribution and marketing of the GP32 with a focus on Spain, Europe, and the US. But the deal with Mitsui fell through, as well.
