I don't know the street price, but it was retailed at $800. That's a big downside.
So if you want to spend less than $400 (200 pounds retail) and get a clamshell mini notebook check out the Asus Eee:

Lots of cool gadgets here. Anyone find anything they particularly like? Some other ones that caught my eye is the popular Kohjinsha K600, and the Sony UX series. The Sony UX can be fiddled with to run Mac OSX using the osx86 project.
The thing that sucks about the move to slightly larger UMPC is that it runs mostly Windows XP / Windows Vista meaning no more ports for me. Less community driven I think.
