I just signed up on twitter this morning because I'm a bit lazy when it comes to updating my blog.

I've noticed that there are some apps available that works with Twitter, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good ones (the site is only so good) or any ones that could be ported to Pandora?

After taking a quick photo with my camera and plugging in the SD card into my laptop to make a post I really wished my Pandora had a built in camera for such a task.

take your pick, download source, enter the unpacked dir, and type "make" into the console without quotes.

Hate to go OT, but, there is a camera that plugs into an SD card slot, but it was made for Palm organizers..

Thanks for the tips. I'm trying out Yoono for FF right now on my laptop.

That would be facing the wrong way, and take up an SD slot. What would be neat though is a camera that plugs directly into the USB port without a cable, that fits on the Pandora of course. That would be the closest thing to a built in camera without damaging the unit.

2 problems: It can only take photos in 0.3 Mpx (640x480) but most importantly, it would be facing the back of the lid...

Whats wrong with taking a picture of the lid? Are you saying the lid is not worth taking a picture of? I bet you there are a lot of people on the forum wanting a picture of the finished lid RIGHT NOW!

I would simply resolder it the other way around

that would work too :p
Not exactly, you would need to extend it and wire around. You can't have the power and data connections swapped so easily like that :p

If you mirrored it, you'd have 5v and ground swapped, and data+ and data- swapped, is that what you meant?

Oh, that looks nice! I can't find the resolution on that page, however... Still, I'm not expecting much.

Think it's long enough to reach around the Pandora and face the user as well?
Dunno if somebody has already come up with this one, it also looks very interesting: 360° rotating, 180° swiveling webcam/memory stick combination which is very compact and pocketable. It would allow you to look at the screen and, having adjusted the cam, take a straight picture. Much like with a conventional digicam. You'd have a hard time filming yourself with it though. It's USB 2.0 and delivers VGA at 30 frames.

Edited for grammar. Is it "swiveLLing"?

The bending one can definitely be used for video chat, maybe even the swiveling one if it's tall enough.

The problem with webcams is that they are meant to be used for video, not still images. I'm more interested in something capable of a few Mpix with a LED flash, like you see on phones.
