Hi everyone,

Several months ago I created a little jump'n'run game for the 10 day coding competition by openxile.co.uk. Just now I managed to compile it for Linux. I hope I included enough shared library so the game will work. You will need Python 2.6 (Linux only) and type python tudi.py to run it. On Windows simply run the tudi.exe.

Maybe someone wants to add more levels? They are just python files, unfortunately I didn't created a level editor since I had only 10 days to code it.
I'm thinking about extending the game further like background images or horizontal scrolling. If you have any ideas please post them :)

Love it. Simplistic but very addictive.
I'll be learning a bit more Python soon, so I might extend this myself at some point. Looks like a good game to help learn the basics thanks :D

p.s I needed to install libboost-python1.40.0 on Ubuntu to get it running.

No problem, after all that's the point of Open Source ;)

Strange, I thought i had included it in the package.

Cool! like Tripmonkey allready said, quite addictive.

Would be very fun on the pandora for a game on the go, especially with a save function (if your train arrives, only 100 points short of a highscore or something like that ; )And is there allready a highscore saving system? did not make it to the end yet so don't know. Would make it more interesting for the second(/third, etc) time after you finish.

I don't know much about python so it won't be me programming it, just my thoughts. Should not be too hard for an (semi-)experienced python guy (or gal ofc) right? gamesave is only 2 variables (levelnumber and total score), you would only need a way to encrypt the file a little, but i guess that should also not be that hard for python.

Anyway: I like it :)

Really nice game, addicting like sugar :D
Would be really nice for the Pandora, though I doubt the the easy mechanic allows more different levels than there already are (you seem to cover the most possibilities). Maybe some power-ups would already suffice to spice it up a bit and allow for more different levels to be created.
I could also imagine one using the second nub to control or modify the level in some sort, so not only you have to move your "hero" but also the level or change the colour of the squares...

But I also have to +1 MarkoeZ on this one, an online highscore-table would probably make it even more interesting. For more competitive play you could also always add the negative points to the total points after failing a level.

PS: I was able to score 575 points, therefore I suck :(

Really cool game !

Level 15 right now, how many are there ?

There are 36 so far, you can compare your score to a table at the end and get the option to reset the game. Additionally it tells you a nice little secret which makes you play the game differently.
