HI,

Ok so the GP32 can emulate diferant platforms.
What are the possible ways of getting around the fact that some platforms
use more than the six plus the direction stick that are on the GP32?

For example a Snes has eight plus the direction pad.
What are the posible way of getting round this problem without using hardware?

I was thinking that the emulator could bind a button (lets say Select) to a toggle
function.

This way you could swap between the A and B buttons (using Select) on the GP32
with the X and Y or A and B for the snes.

I haven't really thought about it much. But i'm guessing it would get a bit messy.
Or has someone already solved the problem?

SNES9xGP and SNESEmu uses Select + L and Select + R for L and R on the SNES controller, and also has another mode for Select + L and Select + R for X and Y on the SNES controller. I've found this works fine for most games, and games with complicated controls usually let you set them in an options menu.

I definately think the GP should have been made with at least two more buttons, possibly a "C" and "D" to add to the "A" and "B"
