Hello,

I just discovered this thing and it would be nice to have on pandora as a mean to have a kind of portable TV.

Got it working in android but seems that on linux you need to install the addon as a system package.

I guess that the angstrom repo is too old. Then how would this be possible? The addon could be added as a PND? Or is just not possible?

I would like a PVR Plugin too for Kodi..but its very complicated and many many Depencies.

PtitSeb portet a wonderfull DVB-C/ATSC/DVB-T/DVB-T2 viewing and recording Software for us.
Its called Me-TV
https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/ptitsebs-beta-lair.77439/

you can download it here directly:
http://ptitseb.openpandora.org/me-tv.pnd

I wanted this Software too but unfortunaly my Recording Hardware do not work on the Pandora :(
I want to use this too because you can Change your Pandora into a Recorder with it :)

This is not exactly a pvr software but a plugin that converts a http stream to pvr. This way you can use pvr features from kodi such as epg information and recording.

Anyhow i can use vlc as well. But it would be nice to create a launcher that loads vlc with a specific playlist, that would be a nice solution also.

P.S.
I just dream on how easy this kind of things would be with pyra.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

But I guess the kodi package can be changed a bit to add required dependancies... Just, I don't know what is needed here, and you left no url nothing (I'm too lazy to search myself today).

If you were on the Pyra, what will you type to install (that may be enough for me to understand what is missing in the Kodi pnd).

Looks like kodi has an official debian package in Stretch and beyond, so it'd be 'apt-get install kodi' it looks like.

I'm not sure that's especially helpful mind you.

It's not kodi but a plugin for it, an official one it seems. I'm on the tablet and is hard to find all links from here, I will update another day.

Anyhow it seems that this would require a new kodi pnd with the plugin an all the dependencies. Not sure if it's worth the effort.

Plugin can be installed, no need to add it to the pnd. But dependancies have to be add to the PND, if some are missing.

Ok, I got some time to explain a bit better what I'm trying to install.

As I told it's an official add-on, the details are here.

http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:IPTV_Simple_Client

Summary: it allows to grab an online stream and load in kodi as it was a dvb-t input, therefore you can read EPG information, record, and other features.

On android it installs just as any other add-on, it just appears when browsing add-ons. But on linux it seems that you need to install it through a system package. That same link explains that on ubuntu there should be kodi-pvr-iptvsimple. I use mageia and can't see that package on the repo, and can't know this will work on angrstrom.

So, any idea?

Mmm, ok. I have to check.

It seems an update to Kodi woul dbe good, and I need to check if I enabled PVR in my build (I'm not sure of that in fact).
