although this seems to be in deveopment and is also japanese I have found a site that deals with linux drivers for SDIO cards. The file is packaged in a ipk file extension and if you don't know about that ext then details for unpacking are here and here.

The website for the driver is here. Click the SD-Link11b link then click the link on the right of where it says "SD-Link11b" which will translate the page into english

Even though the driver is primarily for the Zaurus SL-C760 and SL-C860 I was hoping that the information inside the package may give clues as to how SDIO is accessed.

Apologies if this is no use or has been posted before.

SDIO wifi is dying out because it's not needed anymore. Most current devices that you would want wifi on come standard with it, so I don't think it will get any better on Linux. Also, not as many companies are making SD wifi cards because no one needs them anymore. It works on other Linux handhelds, I'm not sure what the GP2X needs though. It's strange that GPH added networking to the GP2X without first finding a good method of implementing it on the hardware side, maybe they are beta testing it and with the next revision of the GP2X it will come with wifi built in. I don't know.

Thanx,
Stan
