Neo XYX ' Shmup' for Sega Dreamcast.

I have preordered the limited edition, last year. Yesterday they send me an email that they are now processing my order.

It just arrived :D

Wow i saw the Youtubevideo and feld like a Chameleon when one Eye

look onto another place loke the other to sway the Projectiles

Realy nice Game :D

I'm a bit sad, they have removed some features. In the original XYX there were 3 different ships and also upgradable weapons, IIRC. Here is only one ship and no weapon upgrades.

In the neo geo version or arcade?

Why remove stuff when the dreamcast is more powerful than the neo geo.

The neo geo version is arcade ;) I Haven't played it, but I've got the game for my Dreamcast.

Also, it as a bug when pausing: sometimes it doesn't hold the pause mode and the game goes on running immediately after pressing start.

That pause bug could be problematic if you had to use the toilet... :p

Not sure why there is only one ship in the dc version; unless the neo geo guys were promised an exclusive version.

The dc deserves better.

Woah. Can anyone explain to me why the Dreamcast is still being developed for? Strangely, I know very little about the console. It's very cool that it is till being worked with!

An underground indie games cene has grown up around the dc. Diehard sega fans keep it alive. Games can sell 2 to 3,000 copies i believe.

I'm hoping to make one myself but it may not happen due to technical reasons.

Check out dreamcast scene http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/

And hucast http://hucast.com/

And http://www.redspotgames.com/

And http://ngdevteam.com/

Should be all you need to know there.

Oh and buy a dreamcast they are cheap as chips and have an amazing line up of games. :)

Thanks for the explanation :) I think I might actually, after seeing this and then Sturmwind, they are both really gorgeous games!

There are 3 commercial games I can highly recomment:

- Fast Striker

- Gunlord

- Sturmwind

So i got my copy of neo xyx yesterday.

Its good but quirky.

The ship has a tiny hit area. Its more about collecting several medals in a row to create a chain effect and then release your bombs.

Its all about the bombs.

I need to play this more to get a better feel for it.

It does seem awfully short thus far.

Anybody figure out how the medal chaining system works in Neo xyx?

For the life of me I cannot figure out how it works.

Its quite poorly explained in the game and the manual is very uninformative.

I'm sorry, but I have only played the game one time. ... Was a misinvestment.
