anyone got any ideas, on which is the best sprite editor. I know gamepark released one a year or so ago but ive been unable to fnd it, so just wondering what you lot use to create you graphics. Should i bother finding a sprite editor or just use a normal paint program.
In my opinion all srite editors limit you, I have not seen any sprite editor that would be flexible enough. You better use a normal paint program.
And dont ask me which one I use, since its the great old NeoPaint for DOS I think its perfect for GP32 development. Maybe combined with some newer one for more effects and such, like Paint Shop Pro.
PSP/Photoshop - The newer ones have more fancy features and such for EZ fancy shit on sprites
I use an old version of PSP *PSP 4.12* for my spriting, enough features to be good, and not too much to make it too complicated, simplicity *
*see sig image for my sprite work*the basic of the image, it is a bit rezised and such, but hey D *i think it is, cannot tell on this crappy school macintosh***
thanks for help, as it happens im having a go a using pre rendered 3d images - mainly as i can use 3d software slightly better than 2d, so mspaint will have a little less to do .
in case your wondering - Its gonna be top down car game (hopefully), but shhh you didnt hear it from me.
