Hi,

blabla, a member of the french Bennugd community released "Vigoroth the Delivery Man".

Here's the Caanoo version here : http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/caanoo.cgi?0,0,0,0,27,699

He doesn't own a Pandora, but I do so he asked me to make a .pnd of his game, but it's out of my skills.

I have all the sources I can link by PM to a kind member who could help us.

Also, he has a problem with his game. It can't be launched without GINGE on Caanoo or Wiz, but he can't find the reason why.

Thanks.

creating a PND isn't hard, especially if you have a pandora, because all the required commandline scripts + tools are installed;

the wiki helps here a lot: http://pandorawiki.org/PND_quickstart

For Bennu or Fenix or the like, is it work? (ie: need to include the interpreter in the pnd I assume?) Are there other existing Bennu pnds .. if so, you could mount of thsoe guys, copy out all the guts into a tmp dir and put your owen overrides in place (remove ther other app, but keep its run script and interpreter and such?), and then package up the final product. Strikes me as the way to go.. but I know nothign about Bennu :)

The program seem to be done in Fenix and includes the ufenix interpreter for GP2X. This doesn't work in other consoles (without GINGE). Fenix/Bennu programs are compiled in a pcode format like Java, and you need the interpreter and libraries (runtime) for each platform you use.

There is a native Fenix interpreter for Wiz here, I think it isn't in the openhandhelds archive. Caanoo and Pandora don't have Fenix interpreter yet. But both have Bennu interpreters. Here is the Pandora version. Fenix is not updated because is considered deprecated now. I suggest to compile games in Bennu, this is the evolution of Fenix.

About the creation of the .PND in the wiki that puts crow_riot is explained, you must to create an iso file with all the game files (and interpreter), and the add an XML and a icon (png) file.

Thanx for all these answers.

I'll try to .pnd this weekend and give blabla the information about the Wiz and Pandora version.

I'll keep you informed ;)

Hi folks, editing the pxml.xml file of a PND to make the PND, if I want the shortcut in the 'Arcade' secction menu, I put this:

<category name="Game">
<subcategory name="ArcadeGame" />

But if I want the game in the 'Puzzle&Board' section what is the name ?

I put this but the game don't apears!!!

<category name="Game">
<subcategory name="PuzzleGame" />

The name to put on the xml to all the sections are welcome, on Wiki they don't put them...

Thanks.
