There's a quite interesting article about Maemo on LWN.
"Mer is an outgrowth of Nokia's Maemo environment, designed to flesh out the tablet-centric operating system into a full fledged Linux distribution suitable(...)"
I didn't knew much about the recent Maemo development (I do own a nokia IT however) and found the article quite interesting.
You would be able to run this version of Maemo on BeagleBoards and standard x86 hardware.
That could potentially mean on the pandora too I guess. At the current stage of development there might not be that much to be thrilled about but it's probably worth checking this out for the future.
The article on LWN is normally for subscriber's only but here's a free link:
(subscriber's are allowed free link to share with other, hope it's ok to post on the forum)

(Of course if you like LWN article / are into linux news think about subscribing to LWN, it's pretty cheap and worth it IMO)
