Hey I thought I had heard some one mention that game park had stoped production of the gp32. Is this true or am I just misinformed? I was hoping to buy another one some time but have not had the cash to do so since school started.

Gamepark has stopped production for now. There are 2000 GP32s left, last I heard.

But Gamepark is also still in negotiations with various companies to liscence the GP32 beyond Korea. The GP32 is far from dead, it's more like in hiberation.

The GP32 scene, however, still is quite active. Ryleh released the new fMSX32 today, oh boy! :)

If gamepark isn't dead, then it has been in hibernation for years.

Gamepark the company has always been, will always be sketchy.. that's part of the charm I suppose

what is the fMSX32 Emulator (Was that the Secret Project thing?)???

FMSX32 was one of rylehs first ported emulator and i believe thats where he got the F prefex from at the start of all his emus. Yoyofr's the one working on a secret project. Not Ryleh.

it's been a long time since the start of the secret project......either its really good or he just isn't working on it a lot.

or something that requires alot of time and effort to ever work at a decent speed.
eg snes, GBA, Megadrive, etc

ASR on GBA?

YAY! SMALL SCRUNCHED UP SPRITES AND 6 FRAMES OF ANIMATION! JOY!

Sorry, I had to. :p

Sure the Gp32 is dead, it was never alive. Just some electronics in a plastic case, that does not qualify for life i think. It should at least be able to reproduce.
:p

Im sure theres more than 2000 gp32 left. And I would also question if this included the gp32flu (which are slightly better units). I just ordered another flu from Lik sang last week- not to mention, they seem awfully quick to let you know if they dont have anything in stock-

I dont think GP is as dead as they want us to think- The European, American and now, increased interest in Japan alone says they have made quite a bit more money than expected. I feel they are halting production for maybe a better reason ... I see yet another facelift :) - or a face lift and a small processor boost :)

Cheers,
yuzo
