Introducing the DEF's Pack kernel chooser.

Ok i think although i included a timeout, maybe it was too short.

Can you type :

Code:
sudo depmod -ae

And reboot.

Then check lsmod plz ?

Hmm, I tried option 3, and my pandora boots up saying, cannot load kernel. Then it tells me to reflash.

Guess it might have been a bad idea to try that on HF6A4

Edit: Same thing happened with HF6

Edit: option 2 does not work for me under HF6 either.
I presume you rebooted immediately ?

I think the timeout was too short.

I tested many many times with different setups, but always with fast cards...

I requested testing before uploading to repo, but hasn't got any feedback :/

I'm sry about that.

Test the sudo depmod -ae plz.

BTW there's no need to reflash, you can copy kernel + modules from the rootfs :

Tell me if you need a precise walkthrough.

Ok so i think the timeout is bad.

I will pull out my pack from the repo as long as it isn't fixed.

Do you want my help for repairing ?

No.

Download this :

http://openpandora.org/firmware/pandora-rootfs.tar.bz2

Decompress it.

Remove all /boot/uImage* from your SD.

Copy the rootfs /boot/uImage-2.6.27.46-omap1 in your card, and name it uImage

Remove /lib/modules/2.6.27.46-omap1 from you SD.

Copy the rootfs /lib/modules/2.6.27.46-omap1 to your SD.

At first boot, open a terminal and type

Code:
sudo depmod -ae

Reboot.

No mine does not reboot immediately, It just tells me it fails to load the kernel. Then at the bottom I get the menu you would normally get if you hold R on bootup.

I just noticed that N64 emulation doesn't work with kernels other than official ones.

I think i has something to do with one of the debugging options.

Does someone has some more feedback about the installer timeout ?

Sure it's only N64? Do ANY of the 3D games run?

The kernel needs the properly compiled 3D driver module.

Well, 3D in PSX emulation is perfect.

Notaz didn't mentioned that there is another thing to compile ^^.

I long for a mainline kernel :/.
