I'm having a mildly concerning problem with steam.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04
I just purchased the game Duskers because it sounded interesting. And after I installed it but didn't launch it, Steam crashed and did an upgrade. Now whenever I launch Steam I get an authentication prompt that can't be dismissed (clicking cancel just causes it to disappear for a fraction of a second). The authentication prompt is to update network settings for all users. Has anyone else encountered this?

An update for anybody who is interested. The purchase and installation of the game was not the trigger, the timing was just a coincidence. There's already an open github ticket for my exact problem, and long story short Steam is tripping policykit over calling 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.Settings.Connection.GetSecrets' and passing in '802-11-wireless-security'. If you click cancel a sufficient number of times (It appears random the number of times required but sometimes in excess of 50 times) it will eventually give up and Steam will behave normally.
