hi,

i like to set up my windups-desktop, but i cant find any icons. i dont want to create icons, because i think, there must be an icon-library for the popular programs available (frodo, fgb,....)

can anyone help me?

ok, thx

and i tried to make a background (320x240), but when i set it, the screen just messed up. what is the format for a backgrnd-image?

ps: if i need to create a gif with a predefined palette...which program can do this? i used psp3, when i programmed for dos, but today i dont know any program which can handle gif-palettes anymore.

if you open one of the bg gifs that come in the wind-ups pack, youll see its an indexed file, rather than rgb..

simply open the image you want to make, and copy and paste it into the indexed old gif. thus keeping the palette...

you may need to scale down your image to fit however

ps, nice name, did you get it from final fantasy legends? ^_^

psp7 and Adobe photoshop have palette export and import tools. I have on my hard drive the palette for wind-ups psp7. If there si a demand for it then I can quickly put it on some webspace.

Generally in PSP,

create your picture
turn it into a gif
go to Colours->Load Palette and load up the wind-ups palette
psp should do its best to find the nearest colour avaiable
save and it is ready for use in Wind ups

to actually get the palette
open one of the icons from wind-ups in PSP
Colours->Save Palette and it should save as a *.pal file

here are my icons that I use (i need to update the site with these prpoerly)
