Huge Security Hole In Recent Samsung Devices.

LOL at these massive companies, that have no fucking idea what they are doing.

The security hole is in kernel, exactly with the device /dev/exynos-mem. This device is R/W by all users and give access to all physical memory

... what's wrong with Samsung?

... Samsung has not cared about that fact and allowed Superbrick to remain unfixed for months ...

Now there's a remote exploit and there is zero protection against malware causing permanent damage to a device.

Another reason to love open devices, and community development.

These days, I reckon a company's first IT hire should be a real security expert. Not "microsoft certified security professional" either!

bummer, I actually like the Note2 : |

Its already bad enough with all these apps spying on you. I'd really like to have a real Linux system running on a smartphone like Debian or Slack, just with a modified UI. I'm not so sure about Firefox OS or MeeGo
