For those who haven't already been bombarded with this enough - you can catch me on the radio! ;)

Starting tonight and for 6 weeks or so I am sitting in as presenter on one of the local station's flagship shows (The Slow and Dirty) Tuesdays from 8pm until 10pm BST (UK time).

Once the regular host comes back I will be starting my own completely new show - watch this space.

Tune in at http://www.somervalleyfm.co.uk/ or if you are close enough to my local area on 97.5FM

The station and presenters encourage audience interaction so please get in touch on twitter ( @HamishTPB and for this show @slowanddirty ), there is also facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/SlowAndDirtySFM/?fref=ts ). I hope some of you will join in the fun, there is a co-host on the S&D show called Kye, I am the one with the Scottish voice ^_^

There is a website @ http://thepolarbear.co.uk/ that will be listing played tracks etc too.

Yes that's the sort of thing we deal with - hard hitting news :) Kye mostly deals with and judges responses to the news story thingy so that is one less thing for me to worry about.

EDIT: Here's my blog entry about tonight's radio show, including all tracks played by me.

Strigoi won tonight's news quiz thingy so you get to choose the next one! Next week I am on by myself as Kye is busy but in two weeks time he will be back and we will resume the feature then.

Thanks for listening and taking part, tune in next Tuesday 8-10pm UK time for me let loose on my own!

Last chance to hear me as guest host on the Slow & Dirty radio show tonight, details at http://thepolarbear.co.uk/ for listening live or listening to previous shows. Thanks for the great support I have had from the Open Pandora community  so far and I hope to be announcing my own show soon.

Heh, oh man you could have picked just about any of the B-52s earlier pieces and I would have lauded yer coolness, but Love Shack! Augh! :)

Otherwise nice set there.

EDIT: Oh and Duran Duran regrouped to form Arcadia somewhen in the late 80s. Quite a lot of nice tracks on their "So Red the Rose" album. http://www.discogs.com/Arcadia-So-Red-The-Rose/release/191456

Duran Duran reformed as Duran Duran not long after the Arcadia / Power Station times too :) So Red the Rose is often called "the best album Duran Duran never did" or something like that :) I will play something from a later DD album in the future probably. I played an old one cos my Aunt wanted it :)

Very good show today.
Thank you, it was a blast, apart from the bit where I started choking to death :)
