I can't tell if I see some CGI trickery in that video or not. The fact that the video's shakey makes me skeptical. Don't get me wrong, I hope it's real, that would be truly amazing!

If that's real I'll buy one of those wings, no matter what it costs.

Can someone make a fake-check?

Wow! Impressive! Although, it seems a bit of effort and energy is required for take-off. I wouldn't be able to it from the ground, so jumping off buildings FTW!!!

I don't mind about that. The'll surely find a way to make it more easy.

Fake.

If it were real, then it would have been done a long time ago.

Second the cgi vote. Why do all his mates run out of shot at takeoff? It's not like he has a jetpack that needs clearance, and the cut to just before he lands is dodgy.

If its fake: FUCK YOU ASSHOLES.

If its real: FUCK YEAH, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Fake fakery fakeness!

Check out the trailing edge of the wings, they don't flex anywhere near enough to be creating the thrust needed, not that a human without bionic chest muscles, fuelled by space coke and assisted by alien technology, could do that anyway. Lots of blogs out there pointing out all the discrepancies. Lots of them on show, other than the simple physics.

He could have strapped some electric turbofans onto a regular hanglider and done the real deal.

Also if it was real you surely wouldnt cut the footage just as it took off, you'd want that all in one shot.

But as said, this would've been done already.

As birdmen go though, I put this just behind Anthony and the Johnson's and bill oddy

I've seen a documentary where they explained how a human had to be "built" to be able to fly with muscle powered wings. You would need gigantic Body, breast and arm muscles and huge wings spread over 10 or 20m.

This video just must be fake, physics and gravity can't be cheated.

On german TV they do regulary youtube "fake checks" in the "Gallileo" science show, this Video sureley is a perfect candidate to check. :)

I was tipped off by something far simpler. :p

On the blog, it's claimed that the German edition of the Financial Times covered the invention, and that you should click the screencap of the article to visit the article on their website... But it's not clickable. :p

Not even close to Icarus, then? :p

Lotta people saying this is fake have been saying so for a while. I just looked at the 2nd flight vid... can that amount of wing movement actually provide enough lift? I'm very, very skeptical. Till a legit tech or aviation or some other magazine or news site covers this, I'll stay skeptical.
