Okay earlier today I installed partitioned my harddrive and installed Ubuntu Linux. I ultimately want to transfer all my files from the my Windows NTFS partition to the ext2 partition Ubuntu is installed on.
The problem: Windows won't boot, and Ubuntu says I don't have the rights to access that partition.
How can I either fix the partition or at least off load the files to Ubuntu's partition?
Also how do I get write previlages for my external harddrive under Ubuntu, and what is the easiest way to install software from a source tarball?
Thanks in Advance.
