hmm... surfing around my news pages i found a Fzero clone for dreamcast... i searched more and found out that chui and some others are working on a fzero clone called "efe-cero" for several platforms like Dreamcast, GP32, windows linux, amiga etc...
the development is very active and a second dreamcast demo is allready out...
perhaps im wrong.. cause all these sites are on spanish and i used a translation machine...
but look for yourself:

look at this thread on gp32spain forums...

That would be amazing if its true! but i have a strange feeling that this will never get onto my gp32 *fingers crossed anyway* B)

hehe.. i think it will.. after reading the latest news on it..
chui is working on it... there is allready a windows version and a dreamcast version, i think the gp32 wont take long...

PS: isnt the snes mario kart also mode 7? a remake of it would be possible to than...
but its more work i think, cause it has all this shooting and traps .

i dont know, i could only read some of the spanish but i do know that "efe-cero" means f-zero in spanish. aslo, my understanding is that they neen people to help program and get sprites. all the replies on that spanish forum say that they want to help with the dreamcast version. i dont really think that they will make a clone for GP32 but maybe somebody could get a source code and try to port it ;)

i dont think that it will be hard to port it.. the current version for pc is in SDL and 320x240... and i think the dreamcast version uses the same..
so it would be really easy to port this.

It's sure that they are going to release a gp32 version. The game it's being done by Chui and he uses his SDL_GP32.

I think that this maybe the begining of a good programers and game developers. It's near the day when Dreamcast comunity and GP32 comunity will be united.

Excuse my english please.

Isn't Chui the one that created the Mode7 source code example for GP32? If so it sounds like a high probability that someone suggested a working Fzero to him and he agreed to start work on it. I'd like to hope it'll nave new tracks and maybe even weapons like mario kart!
