Dvd encoding

Thanks, but i dont think thats the one. There was a guide somewhere that showed u how to rip the dvd directly into the usable one by moviepark, so u dont hav to rip it then convert it. know about that one?

yeah, use Bonk's site. It doesn't seem to be working for me either, but keep trying becuase it's worth it.

You can do it in two steps fairly quickly.

First use a program called DVD decrypter to get the VOB files from the DVD, and then use FlaskMPEG to convert them into Divx4.12 therefore missing out the Vdub process. As far as I know thats the best you can do it.

I got the programs from a P2P so don't ask me where to get them legally.

I grabbed this copy of the guide that Bonks put up from Googles cache.
Sadly it has none of the original screen grabs he used, nor do the links to the progs used work, but all the written content remains and so you can still follow the guide. You can track down the progs required easily enough by searching them out with Google.

There are many ways to do this, but i usualy follow these steps:

1) rip your dvd using for example smartripper

2) create a dvd2avi project file using dvd2avi

3) make a avisynth sript (if u can't do this yourself let GordianKnot do this for u, and edit the script afterwards)

4) encode your avisynth script in virtualdub

and check the guides on doom9.net ;)

A long long time ago in a galexy far far away.... I used to have a dvd drive but i busted it. Anyways I used to rip dvds easy using flaskmpeg or something like that. Maybe search google for flaskmpg or flaskmpeg and see what you come up with....

dvdx to produce a coherent AVI or MPEG straight from DVD, then Virtualdub to get the settings to GP32-happy ones.

i've tried going dtraight to GP32 with DVDx, it doesn't work too well
