Hi all,

What exactly is 'clamping' a value? I see it a lot in openGL stuff.

Does it mean simply to truncate? (e.g. clamp 270 between 0-255 gives 255)
Or is it like you do for angles? (e.g. clamp 405 degrees between 0-360 gives 45 degrees)
Or is it something else?

Cheers

clamp=clip 270->255

versus
wrap: 405 -> 45

(truncate is a bit ambiguous)
