I'm new to the GP32. I've loaded a few .FXE games to the SMC and they seem to work fine.

I downloaded the game Card Casino, and loaded the .FXE file to my SMC. However, this game won't load from the "GAMES" selection. It starts to load, then i get an "exiting to GP32" message.

Into which folder on the SMC should I be loading the support files for the .FXE file? (The sound and image files) Maybe this is what is causing my errors.

Thanks in advance.

You have to put the .fxe file in the GPMM folder and this is the case for most games and emulators. Most homebrew games and emulators have a readme.txt file that gives instructions on where to put the files to get the thing going.

Card Casino is a good one so is worth playing. Take a look at the link in my signature for a file that gives brief reviews (they say what the game is, how it plays and whether it supports saves) of over 100 homebrew games with screenshots.

I put the .fxe file in the GPMM folder. The readme.txt file doesn't specify a location for the remaining files. The only thing remotely mentioning the support files is the line:

- The datafiles are all in GP:\GPMM\GP32Card

This is where the datafiles are when unzipped on my PC. But it doesn't mention where to stick them on the SMC.

put the folder GP32Card (and all it's contents :p) in the gpmm folder (on your SMC) and all should be fine ;)

cardgame.fxe goes in the GPMM folder.

The rest of the files (back.gpg, cardset.gpg, cursor.gpg, logo.gpg, menu.gpg, menuitem.gpg) go in a folder called 'cardgame' which should also go in the GPMM folder.

Got it! Thanks. I wasn't able to copy the folder directly (got a weird naming error issue) but I could create a new folder on the SMC, rename it, then copy all the individual files over.

Thanks for your help. Game works great.
