Whilst i'm still waiting for my unit i thought i would prepare all my games, i've already ripped to bin/cue but do i need to region patch as well? (someone suggested that NTSC-U performs & looks slightly better)

And does ReARMed support games that have had language patches applied?

EDIT:

Another query, if i may - how do the games with pre-rendered backgrounds perform (and how do the backgrounds look, ie: blurry/low res?) Final fantasy 7,8,9 Legend Of Dragoon (Backgrounds look horrible in Epsxe) Resident Evil 2, Galarians (a personal favourite) Parasite Eve 1 & 2, Fear Effect games etc..

I think I asked about this before, but the conclusion was you didn't need any region patch :)

But now that I remember, have anyone tried FFIX? It runs smooth but there's a giant glitch when I play. I can't see the fighting statuses in a fight!

anyone else?

You don't need to region-patch. In fact, I've found that sometimes, in cases where a game is running slowly, which is increasingly becoming less and less common, PAL versions will perform better because they were optimised for running at a lower speed in the first place.

For example, this is now resolved, but in the very early versions the PAL version of Mega Man 8 ran at almost full-speed, whilst the NTSC version was too slow. Both are full-speed now.

In short, don't worry about regions, and in the rare cases where things are going slow, you're often better off with your PAL discs anyway. :p
