so u call me nubbie HA!

also the gbas specs are only

# Memory (RAM): 32KB, 256KB external
# CPU Speed: 32-bit RISC-CPU (16.78MHz)
+ and if we can run ps1 games @ 25-30fps y carnt we run gba games @ 60fps??

GBA wont be fullspeed and I doubt that Sdio thing will become reality.

If those are the things your hoping for then I suggest you dont get one ^.^

The GBA emulator can only become a playable speed if someone makes their own from scratch designed for the gp2x or a incredible port of gpadvance like many say.

The things that will most likely come out will be Fullspeed Genesis, snes and anything lower.

We already got the Genesis :D and the other ones are very nice to enjoy in their current states.

Hope this clears stuff up for you.

Lots of custom hardware.

Drak, you have to face it... With all the crap devs have pulled 2 months after it started shipping... what makes you think that there won't be fullspeed GBA emulation... when it comes to being a dev, i guess the best (albeit corniest) saying is : Never say never...

ahhh i c thanks man that is y its so difficalt to emu?

please correct me if im wrong
Yes. It is also one of the reasons why the Saturn was a pain to emulate.

Isn't GNUBoy a GBC emulator or just GB?

1.GNUboy does both

2. Saturn was more of a problem to emulate due to the fact that you had emulate dual processors... the custom hardware was hard too but you have to think that whilst there is no decent saturn EMU on PC... there is already a decent GBA emulator on the PSP... (and the PSP doesn't have that much RAM and it's firmware is a RAM hog)

can you stop with all the im language? It's ok to a certain extent but you use it too much and it's fucking annoying

No decent Saturn emulator for the PC? SSF does a near perfect job. You need a beefy computer, but the emuator runs great. Once my Saturn mod chip arrives in the mail I won't be using the emulator that much though...

other people an i want sdio to work so badly because it would give us the abilaty to use things like wifi and bluetooth as such this would mean we could have multiplayer gameing and internet accsess on the move (internet accsess would recquire you to be in a hotspot such as McDo's, also a web browser is needed)

don't forget that just having sdio support doesn't magically make everything work. You still need drivers for everything you plug in - like Wifi cards and bluetooth devices, and the manufacturers are not going to create drivers for what is basically a small hobbyist console, and the specification will cost thousands.

Fair enough. Luckily all of that is meaningless to me. I've used a PSP on the web and it's rubbish -- I'd rather be without net access for a while, frankly. It's good to be "unconnected" sometimes.

Bluetooth would be cool if the GP2X takes off...
Then you do multiplayer against other users... provided you find them...
