A lot of love for my Pepsi post. Struggle to find anyone that hasn't struggled with something this year.

    Just a quick heads up

I saw a Pepsi billboard the other day that read "All I want for Christmas is 2021", I thought fair play Pepsi that's right on point.

    Dev board in 2020?

Yeah I considered a pi 3 with armhf debian as well. I think that might be the more sensible option to dip my toe in. It looks as though the pi 4 is faster than the pyra actually.

    Dev board in 2020?

Seems kinda hard to lay your hands on a dev board in 2020. I'm not sure how deep into this rabbit hole I'd like to go yet, so I did wonder whether a BEAGLEBOARD BBONE-AI would be good as a rough estimate of the pyra's capability? I am aware it's only a single A15 though.

Playing visual novels via QEMU on Pyra

Tbh the various fan incarnations of Fate/Stay Night have gotten a bit ridiculous, they're bloated with bugs that make playing them under windows 10 hard enough at times. Really wish Type-Moon would just make an official translation.

Playing visual novels via QEMU on Pyra

I should probably have hung a disclaimer on this that my knowledge in this area is a bit limited. I'm a recent convert to Linux in general. I suppose the correct question might have been that if you wanted to play a windows x86 visual novel on an arm device like this (or at least try), how would...

Playing visual novels via QEMU on Pyra

I realise that performance for QEMU is generally pants but do we think it could manage Visual Novels because I read a lot of them.

    Native Linux ports

I presume 3D acceleration is working now? Are there any demos of this on the Dev board.

    Native Linux ports

Right I think I'm understanding you here. Linux OS support does not mean ARM support. Think I didn't see the obvious there. Interesting you mentioned Android ports. There is one of Half Life 2 but I think it's Android TV only. Knights of the old Republic could be fun though. Plus I could just...

    Native Linux ports

What Native Steam games do we think the Pyra will be able to play. I ask as someone whose on the fence. I could probably spring for a GPD device but ultimately I kind of exist in both worlds. I appreciate that the Pyra has been made with a lot of love, the after market value seems amazing (a...
