You can be an offical battery here: http://www.gp2x.de/shop/product_info.php/cPath/35/products_id/146 To be honest you're better buy the real deal than any others. Less chance of screwing up your wiz!
If all you're wanting to emulate is the PSone games then go for the PSP. But the wiz is far better at console/arcade emulation for sure. I've not tested the video on my wiz yet. However for videos on the PSP you do need to convert them but you don't for the wiz!
Battery life is far better...
I find the wiz d-pad and button controls very nice indeed! Its not the best for 2D fighters however. Battery life I find very reasonable and its easy to change the battery. There are screws at the back of the case unscrew it pop out the old battery in with the new and hey presto!
Ah, I thought it ran on the same arcade hardware as X-men as one of the characters is a sprite edit of colossus! But that game runs on slightly more powerful hardware then?
Fantastic update to wiz mame :) Would love to see metaporphic force added to the game list. Its a konami scroller like x-men, turtles and simpons!
That would complete my favorite arcade scrollers of all time :) In my pocket too wow!
Yep thats the one! I wonder how well they'll customize the code to run on the wiz? You need a fairly reasonable PC to run that version of it!
I did read they are removing the two player code seeing as it would be needed but I'll be very happy to have this excellent game on the wiz soon :)
Streets of Rage is different from Beats of rage. Streets of Rage remake is new streets of rage story using characters old and new. Have the PC version which is awesome!.
You can't customize it like in beats of rage. Although beats of rage itself is an awesome 2d scrolling engine!
I read a while ago on the pocket gamer website link to article here: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Various/GP2X+Wiz/news.asp?c=15095 that Streets of Rage remake will be coming to the wiz!
I wondered if anyone has heard on more on this since august?
As the topic states. I would like to know if there any websites other than gp2xshop.de that sell spare batteries for the wiz seeing as they are out stock at present!
I got my wiz yesterday via ebay. Aside what looks like a screen burn on the light colours (blue for example) that shows the USB connected picture. which is barely noticable to me anyway its a fanstastic upgrade to the GP2X F100 I had a while back.
It's a fantastic bit of tech and I had...
Well my GP2X came today and I don't have to worry about flashing the firmware it's already been updated by the seller on ebay!
BUT I have that horrible problem with the sound not cutting out on the speakers when you insert the headphones and the software to correct it doesn't work on the latest...
