Still waiting arcade emulators. I'm a bit disappointed no one has done a pyra specific port of mame and fba yet. Anyone working on arcade emus?
I remember slaanesh saying sometime ago he might do a pyra specific port of mame which would be great.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New year.
Really excited to see the Pyra ever closer to mass production. Can't wait to get one. I follow retro gaming on many other devices as well as Pyra and there is one particular retro handheld device available called the GKD350h which uses a custom...
That's good to hear and I can't wait for the Pyra reviews . The major reason why I want Pyra is because having a keyboard and powerful cpu, I want emulation of old 8bit and 16bit computer systems. The Amiga A1200 and Sharp X6800 and other 16bit computer systems emulated at fullspeed will make...
Why the hell did they mess up the controls? The controls on the left are in the wrong position for a retro device to play old consoles! They have simply copied the switch design.
ed is looking more scarier than Jason Vorhees
I hope this thing emulates well, I have sold my entire collection of retro handhelds (except GP2X and GPD XD) to save up for it so I'll be a little disappointed if it struggles to emulate megadrive full speed
No offence but who is this funkyarif...
Really looking forward to mass production of the device so that I can buy one mainly or emulation, however I have a concern.
I have been looking at Pandora emus which most if not all will probably get a straight port, however correct me if I am wrong, but temper was not ported to it which is...
Hi,
I have got a new job and guess what I want to buy? A Pyra of course!:) and it's great that is getting closer to release
I have been mainly lurking since the GP2X days. It's been a great community and so much has happened. I did preorder a Pandora but cancelled as I decided to keep my GP2X...
Sorry for off topic, and don't want to derail thread, but where is he now?
Remember him from GP2X days. He was very passionate about screens and sound problems in emulated classic
arcade games. Didn't he design Pandora dpad as well?
One of the big reasons for me owning a pyra will be playing arcade games on a high quality handheld and not from some chinese device which are always flawed in one way or another. I don't mind it being expensive as long as it provides excellent gameplay experience
I am not very technical about...
Thanks for the advice guys,.
Can you play backups of commercial games (eg. Blue Angelo, Dungeon & Guarder, Her Knights, Little Wizard etc.) this way? or are there any other ways?
I have just got used Gp32 (BLU version) and was just wondering if any flash cards were/are available for the device to play backups and homebrew
I am completely new to this device and wanted to check emus and games I missed as I joined the scene during the GP2X days
Thanks
Hi,
My main use of the Pyra will be retrogaming, but I also want to use it as my main computer and for internet.
I want a physical connection for best connection instead of wifi. With the Pyra having no ethernet port, is there any way I can have a physical wired connection from my broadband...
