Vfapi is an obsolete method of frameserving. Try using avisynth to frameserve your VOB files. Here's a guide.

I had problems with gpcinema after installing the firmware but after reformatting the card (used the built-in format utility in the main menu) and re-copying gpcinema to the card everything worked.
It all depends on the size of your rom. some of the space on the card is also reserved for the card's boot menu. On average I usually fit between 10 and 15.
On the 3rd exchange at 'Future Shop' they told me that they would not exchange it again if it had a dead pixel so I asked for my money back. I asked them if anybody else had returned them because of this problem and they replied that most people don't care or notice them.
I decided to go to a...
When I bought my GBA SP Classic Limited Edition it had a dead pixel. I had to get it exchanged 6 times before I got one without any dead pixels.
Virtualdub has an 'Append avi segment' option in the 'file' menu bar. It works well for re-joining split avi's. Once the two files are appended simply save it as .avi with both video and audio set to 'direct stream copy'.

Maybe your divx 4.12 package isn't intalling it right. If you go to control panel/sound&multimedia/hardware/video codecs/properties do you see divx 4.12 installed? If not try downloading a different divx 4.12 package from a different site.
Is it a VBR mp3 audio stream? Those usually cause synching problems because of the 'hacked' way they are muxed into the AVI. But apart from getting out of synch AVIs in the end, I've never had virtualdub give me an error because of that. Maybe you can try extracting the audio stream from the...
Here are a few guides I found on the DVDRhelp website
 Converting from RM using the SNAGIT (or other similiar programs) software method
 Converting from RM using TINRA software method
 Converting from RM using EO Video software method
you could give TINRA a try however my results with it were similiar to what you seem to have experienced with RM Converter. To get a nice RM -> AVI conversion I ended up playing the RM video fullscreen through my TVout and sending it into my other computer's capture card. A shoddy way of doing...
