    Silence!

Not sure why you think Alpine is aimed at embedded devices. Maybe because of busybox ? Busybox is easily replaced with "the proper tools" from the repository. But if your heart goes to NetBSD, then thats what you should use ;)

    Silence!

You might want to give Alpine Linux a go. I use it on almost all my machines. (Have 1 machine with Ubuntu 16.04 for games) It uses musl-libc and not glibc. systemd is very reliant on glibc specific features, so systemd will never work on musl-libc based distro's. It also sheds a good amount of...

    Getting closer...

I would love to get some feedback regarding how well (or not) the GSM/3G/LTE modules are performing. It is a bit concerning that there are so little mention of this. It feels like another bubble waiting to burst...

If Minecraft is a single process, then you might be out of luck even with a 4GB version. The maximum size a single app can be on a 32bit CPU under linux is 2GB, unless things has changed.

It might have saved us 5 months if we had the improved CPU board :(

Thanks for answering so quickly. I would sleep much better :p if we tested the improved boards before production.

Have the tests been done with the improved CPU board ? I cant recall seeing any message that you produced any of the improved boards yet ?

    Keep cool!

I like this one better: "Docker is like an onion. Both have layers. Both make you cry when you fiddle with the layers..."

I can see Alpine somewhere in my Pyra's future :p

    Keep cool!

Sorry, but I have to get this off my chest: <rant> How systemd works has almost nothing to do with my "hate" towards it. Soon after it was released and Arch adopted it, I thought it was cool and tried to port it to sabotage linux. (The only musl libc based distro at the time. Alpine hasnt...

Personnaly I would take one with a 2G limitation any day instead of having to wait 6 more months. The java-people might feel different ... :p

    It's all white!

I would also appreciate a quality charger. I had a Raspberry PI that gave me lots of problems. The thing had all kinds of inconsistent behavior. In the end a quality power supply was the solution. Even if you don't use it for the Pyra, you might appreciate it when you buy your next...
