Samples received, visit to Greece to restart the production planned

This is definitely the best kind of news to read about regarding the near finalization of the Pyra parts and production before assembly duties. Pretty soon, hopefully, you'll migrate into providing software/driver updates for the Pyra OS. That's good to hear that you're both fine. That is more...

    It's software this time!

So, it has been over 5.5 years of prototype development hell since you started work on it up till the likely date of mass production of the whole Pyra parts for assembly and shipping to customers. Wow, what a grand time it has been watching all of it from the sidelines. All the toil, the toil...

Comet Notebook: 1997 bulky 'handheld' computer/netbook

Well, one Youtube creator has produced this new video of that Comet Notebook computer made in 1997 that looked like a cross between the upcoming Pyra handheld here and basically any of those old 'Netbook' style portable computers that used to make the rounds back in the 2000's decade (Long...

What a great start - prepare for the next level!

Why are so few of the first 550 preorders currently set on the 4GB version of the Pyra variants? Isn't that a high risk as it's not yet been tested and that it could EAT so much into the Pyra's battery life (for each battery I know)? Did you know that the RAM and CPU are on the same socket so...

PC Authority Popular Science (Australian branch. They always cover many technological gadgets!) - Gaming-focused: Hyper (All gaming...

    Bugs and Calculations

OK, so the EU 4G module would be compatible with the Australian 4G mobile broadband spectrum? That's what I'm wondering about.

    The flight has been booked

Guys. I don't think we'd want any fear-mongering publicity of the sort that you see on TV nowadays. Because we would NOT want those terrorists to know about this device and get their hands on it and misuse it for bad purposes! So easy to smuggle through the borders... Given that it'll be a...

    The flight has been booked

Ah, those days when you're visiting Greece are during the early days of the Australian Open. So you'll be able to watch the later rounds of the Open game when you're back home :).

    A date with the Pyra

LOL! I checked into the Pyra forum and found that this new post was put up just 2 minutes beforehand. It was so funny! I feel that the mass production units would be ready for sale by March 2015, not any time before...

Will you consider an upgrade to the graphics chip on the Pyra board?

This is exactly what I was thinking. I was sure that it'd be possible for ED and co. to make newer iterations using the same outer Pyra enclosure, LCD screen and cables just like the older Pandora iterations from the classic model, to 600 MHz variant and finally at the 1GHz model.

Will you consider an upgrade to the graphics chip on the Pyra board?

I was commenting at a blog by Gonetz, the author of both Glide64 and GLideN64 graphics plugins for the N64 emulators. I was wondering if he or somebody else could port his GLideN64 plugin to the Pyra system but with full support included assuming there is support for GL ES 3.0 or 3.1 API. He's...
